These are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob, each with his household:
→Or ce sont ici les noms des enfants d'Israël, qui entrèrent en Egypte, chacun desquels y entra avec Jacob, et leur famille. وهذه اسماء بني اسرائيل الذين جاءوا الى مصر. مع يعقوب جاء كل انسان وبيته

Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
→Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, et Juda, رأوبين وشمعون ولاوي ويهوذ

Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
→Issachar, Zabulon, et Benjamin, ويسّاكر وزبولون وبنيامين

Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
→ودان ونفتالي وجاد واشير

All the descendants of Jacob were seventy persons; Joseph was already in Egypt.
→Toutes les personnes issues de la hanche de Jacob, étaient soixante et dix, avec Joseph [qui] était en Egypte. وكانت جميع نفوس الخارجين من صلب يعقوب سبعين نفسا. ولكن يوسف كان في مصر

Or Joseph mourut, et tous ses frères, et toute cette génération-là.
→ومات يوسف وكل اخوته وجميع ذلك الجيل

But the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them.
→ Et les enfants d'Israël foisonnèrent, et crûrent en très-grande abondance, et multiplièrent, et devinrent très-puissants, tellement que le pays en fut rempli.واما بنو اسرائيل فاثمروا وتوالدوا ونموا وكثروا كثيرا جدا وامتلأت الارض منهم

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.
→ثم قام ملك جديد على مصر لم يكن يعرف يوسف

And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of Israel are too many and too mighty for us.
→ Et il dit à son peuple : voici, le peuple des enfants d'Israël est plus grand et plus puissant que nous. فقال لشعبه هوذا بنو اسرائيل شعب اكثر واعظم من

Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.”
→Agissons donc prudemment avec lui, de peur qu'il ne se multiplie, et que s'il arrivait quelque guerre il ne se joignîtà nos ennemis, et ne fît la guerre contre nous, et qu'il ne s'en allât du pays. هلم نحتال لهم لئلا ينموا فيكون اذا حدثت حرب انهم ينضمون الى اعدائنا ويحاربوننا ويصعدون من الارض

Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with heavy burdens. They built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses.
→Ils établirent donc sur le peuple des Commissaires d'impôts pour l'affliger en le surchargeant; car le [peuple] bâtit des villes fortes à Pharaon, [savoir] Pithom et Rahamsès. فجعلوا عليهم رؤساء تسخير لكي يذلّوهم باثقالهم. فبنوا لفرعون مدينتي مخازن فيثوم ورعمسيس

But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel.
→ولكن بحسبما اذلّوهم هكذا نموا وامتدّوا. فاختشوا من بني اسرائيل

So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel work as slaves.
→فاستعبد المصريون بني اسرائيل بعنف

Tellement qu'ils leur rendirent la vie amère par une rude servitude, [en les employant] à faire du mortier, des briques, et toute sorte d'ouvrage qui se fait aux champs; tout le service qu'on tirait d'eux [était] avec rigueur.
→ومرّروا حياتهم بعبودية قاسية في الطين واللبن وفي كل عمل في الحقل. كل عملهم الذي عملوه بواسطتهم عنف

Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah,
→Le Roi d'Egypte commanda aussi aux sages-femmes Hébreues, dont l'une avait nom Siphra, et l'autre avait nom Puha; وكلم ملك مصر قابلتي العبرانيات اللتين اسم احداهما شفرة واسم الاخرى فوعة

“When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live.”
→Et leur dit : quand vous recevrez les enfants des femmes des Hébreux, et que vous les verrez sur les siéges, si c'est un fils, mettez-le à mort; mais si c'est une fille, qu'elle vive. وقال حينما تولّدان العبرانيات وتنظرانهنّ على الكراسي. ان كان ابنا فاقتلاه وان كانت بنتا فتحي

But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live.
→ولكن القابلتين خافتا الله ولم تفعلا كما كلمهما ملك مصر. بل استحيتا الاولاد

So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this, and let the male children live?”
→Alors le Roi d'Egypte appela les sages-femmes, et leur dit : pourquoi avez-vous fait cela, d'avoir laissé vivre les fils? فقالت القابتان لفرعون ان النساء العبرانيات لسن كالمصريات. فانهنّ قويات يلدن قبل ان تاتيهنّ القابلة.

The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them.”
→Et les sages-femmes répondirent à Pharaon : parce que les Hébreues ne sont point comme les femmes Egyptiennes; car elles sont vigoureuses, [et] elles ont accouché avant que la sage-femme soit arrivée chez elle. فقالت القابتان لفرعون ان النساء العبرانيات لسن كالمصريات. فانهنّ قويات يلدن قبل ان تاتيهنّ القابلة.

So God dealt well with the midwives. And the people multiplied and grew very strong.
→Et Dieu fit du bien aux sages-femmes, et le peuple multiplia, et devint très puissant. فاحسن الله الى القابلتين. ونما الشعب وكثر جدا

And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
→ Et parce que les sages-femmes craignirent Dieu, il leur édifia des maisons. وكان اذ خافت القابلتان الله انه صنع لهما بيوتا.

Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, “Every son that is born to the Hebrewsa you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.”
→ثم امر فرعون جميع شعبه قائلا كل ابن يولد تطرحونه في النهر. لكن كل بنت تستحيونه

Now a man from the house of Levi went and took as his wife a Levite woman.
→وذهب رجل من بيت لاوي واخذ بنت لاوي.

The woman conceived and bore a son, and when she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months.
→ Laquelle conçut et enfanta un fils, et voyant qu'il était beau, elle le cacha pendant trois mois. فحبلت المرأة وولدت ابنا. ولما رأته انه حسن خبأته ثلاثة اشهر

When she could hide him no longer, she took for him a basket made of bulrushesa and daubed it with bitumen and pitch.
→ولما لم يمكنها ان تخبئه بعد اخذت له سفطا من البردي وطلته بالحمر والزفت ووضعت الولد فيه ووضعته بين الحلفاء على حافة النهر

She put the child in it and placed it among the reeds by the river bank.
→ووقفت اخته من بعيد لتعرف ماذا يفعل به

And his sister stood at a distance to know what would be done to him.
→Et la sœur de cet [enfant] se tenait loin pour savoir ce qu'il en arriverait.ووقفت اخته من بعيد لتعرف ماذا يفعل به

Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river, while her young women walked beside the river. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her servant woman, and she took it.
→Or la fille de Pharaon descendit à la rivière, pour se baigner, et ses filles se promenaient sur le bord de la rivière, et ayant vu le coffret au milieu des roseaux, elle envoya une de ses servantes pour le prendre.فنزلت ابنة فرعون الى النهر لتغتسل وكانت جواريها ماشيات على جانب النهر. فرأت السفط بين الحلفاء فارسلت أمتها واخذته

When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby was crying. She took pity on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”
→Et l'ayant ouvert, elle vit l'enfant, et voici, l'enfant pleurait; et elle en fut touchée de compassion, et dit : c'est un des enfants de ces Hébreux. فنزلت ابنة فرعون الى النهر لتغتسل وكانت جواريها ماشيات على جانب النهر. فرأت السفط بين الحلفاء فارسلت أمتها واخذته

ولما فتحته رأت الولد واذا هو صبي يبكي. فرقّت له وقالت هذا من اولاد العبرانيين.

Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call you a nurse from the Hebrew women to nurse the child for you?”
→Alors la sœur [de l'enfant] dit à la fille de Pharaon : irai-je appeler une femme d'entre les Hébreues, qui allaite, et elle t'allaitera cet enfant? فقالت اخته لابنة فرعون هل اذهب وادعو لك امرأة مرضعة من العبرانيات لترضع لك الولد

And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go.” So the girl went and called the child’s mother.
→ Et la fille de Pharaon lui répondit : Va; et la jeune fille s'en alla, et appela la mère de l'enfant. فقالت لها ابنة فرعون اذهبي. فذهبت الفتاة ودعت ام الولد

And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him.
→Et la fille de Pharaon lui dit : emporte cet enfant, et me l'allaite, et je te donnerai ton salaire; et la femme prit l'enfant et l'allaita. ولما كبر الولد جاءت به الى ابنة فرعون فصار لها ابنا. ودعت اسمه موسى وقالت اني انتشلته من الماء

One day, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and looked on their burdens, and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his people.
→فالتفت الى هنا وهناك ورأى ان ليس احد فقتل المصري وطمره في الرمل

وحدث في تلك الايام لما كبر موسى انه خرج الى اخوته لينظر في اثقالهم. فرأى رجلا مصريا يضرب رجلا عبرانيا من اخوته. He looked this way and that, and seeing no one, he struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
→Et ayant regardé çà et là, et voyant qu'il n'y avait personne, il tua l'Egyptien, et le cacha dans le sable.

When he went out the next day, behold, two Hebrews were struggling together. And he said to the man in the wrong, “Why do you strike your companion?”
→Il sortit encore le second jour, et voici, deux hommes Hébreux se querellaient; et il dit à celui qui avait tort : pourquoi frappes-tu ton prochain?ثم خرج في اليوم الثاني واذا رجلان عبرانيان يتخاصمان. فقال للمذنب لماذا تضرب صاحبك.

He answered, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought, “Surely the thing is known.”
→Lequel répondit : qui t'a établi Prince et Juge sur nous? veux-tu me tuer, comme tu as tué l'Egyptien? et Moïse craignit, et dit : certainement le fait est connu.فقال من جعلك رئيسا وقاضيا علينا. أمفتكر انت بقتلي كما قتلت المصري. فخاف موسى وقال حقا قد عرف الامر

When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by a well.
→Or Pharaon ayant appris ce fait-là, chercha de faire mourir Moïse, mais Moïse s'enfuit de devant Pharaon, et s'arrêta au pays de Madian, et s'assit près d'un puits.فسمع فرعون هذا الامر فطلب ان يقتل موسى. فهرب موسى من وجه فرعون وسكن في ارض مديان وجلس عند البئر

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.
→وكان لكاهن مديان سبع بنات. فاتين واستقين وملأن الاجران ليسقين غنم ابيهنّ

The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock.
→فاتى الرعاة وطردوهنّ فنهض موسى وانجدهنّ وسقى غنمهنّ

When they came home to their father Reuel, he said, “How is it that you have come home so soon today?” فلما اتين الى رعوئيل ابيهنّ قال ما بالكنّ اسرعتنّ في المجيء اليوم

They said, “An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds and even drew water for us and watered the flock.”
→Elles répondirent : un homme Egyptien nous a délivrées de la main des bergers; et même il nous a puisé abondamment de l'eau, et a abreuvé le troupeau. فقلن رجل مصري انقذنا من ايدي الرعاة وانه استقى لنا ايضا وسقى الغنم

He said to his daughters, “Then where is he? Why have you left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread.”
→ Et il dit à ses filles : où est-il? pourquoi avez-vous ainsi laissé cet homme? appelez-le, et qu'il mange du pain. فقال لبناته واين هو. لماذا تركتنّ الرجل. ادعونه لياكل طعام

And Moses was content to dwell with the man, and he gave Moses his daughter Zipporah.
→ فارتضى موسى ان يسكن مع الرجل. فاعطى موسى صفورة ابنته

She gave birth to a son, and he called his name Gershom, for he said, “I have been a sojournerd in a foreign land.”
→Et elle enfanta un fils, et il le nomma Guersom; à cause, dit-il, que j'ai séjourné dans un pays étranger.فولدت ابنا فدعا اسمه جرشوم. لانه قال كنت نزيلا في ارض غريبة

During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God.
→Or il arriva longtemps après, que le Roi d'Egypte mourut, etles enfants d'Israël soupirèrent à cause de la servitude, et ils crièrent; et leur cri monta jusqu'à Dieu, à cause de la servitude.وحدث في تلك الايام الكثيرة ان ملك مصر مات. وتنهّد بنو اسرائيل من العبودية وصرخوا. فصعد صراخهم الى الله من اجل العبودية

And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
→Dieu donc ouït leurs sanglots, et Dieu se souvint de l'alliance qu'il avait traitée avec Abraham, Isaac et Jacob. فسمع الله انينهم فتذّكر الله ميثاقه مع ابراهيم واسحق ويعقوب

God saw the people of Israel—and God knew.
→Ainsi Dieu regarda les enfants d'Israël, et il fit attention à leur état.ونظر الله بني اسرائيل وعلم الله

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
→Or Moïse fut berger du troupeau de Jéthro son beau-père, Sacrificateur de Madian; et menant le troupeau derrière le désert, il vint en la montagne de Dieu jusqu'en Horeb. 1واما موسى فكان يرعى غنم يثرون حميه كاهن مديان. فساق الغنم الى وراء البرية وجاء الى جبل الله حوريب

And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.
→وظهر له ملاك الرب بلهيب نار من وسط عليّقة. فنظر واذ العليقة تتوقّد بالنار والعليقة لم تكن تحترق

And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”
→Alors Moïse dit : je me détournerai maintenant, et je regarderai cette grande vision, pourquoi le buisson ne se consume point.فقال موسى اميل الآن لانظر هذا المنظر العظيم. لماذا لا تحترق العليقة

When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
→Et l'Eternel vit que [Moïse] s'était détourné pour regarder; et Dieu l'appela du milieu du buisson, en disant : Moïse, Moïse! et il répondit: me voici. فلما رأى الرب انه مال لينظر ناداه الله من وسط العليقة وقال موسى موسى. فقال هانذ

Then he said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”
→ Et [Dieu] dit: n'approche point d'ici; déchausse tes souliers de tes pieds, car le lieu où tu es arrêté, est une terre sainte. فقال لا تقترب الى ههنا. اخلع حذائك من رجليك. لان الموضع الذي انت واقف عليه ارض مقدسة

And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
→Il dit aussi : je suis le Dieu de ton père, le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob; et Moïse cacha son visage, parce qu'il craignait de regarder vers Dieu.ثم قال انا اله ابيك اله ابراهيم واله اسحق واله يعقوب. فغطى موسى وجهه لانه خاف ان ينظر الى الله

Then the LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings,
→ Et l'Eternel dit : j'ai très-bien vu l'affliction de mon peuple qui est en Egypte, et j'ai ouï le cri qu'ils ont jeté à cause de leurs exacteurs, car j'ai connu leurs douleurs. فقال الرب اني قد رأيت مذلّة شعبي الذي في مصر وسمعت صراخهم من اجل مسخّريهم. اني علمت اوجاعهم

and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
→C'est pourquoi je suis descendu pour le délivrer de la main des Egyptiens, et pour le faire remonter de ce pays-là, en un pays bon et spacieux, en un pays découlant de lait et de miel; au lieu où sont les Chananéens, les Héthiens, les Amorrhéens, les Phérésiens, les Héviens, et les Jébusiens. فنزلت لانقذهم من ايدي المصريين واصعدهم من تلك الارض الى ارض جيدة وواسعة الى ارض تفيض لبنا وعسلا. الى مكان الكنعانيين والحثّيين والاموريين والفرزّيين والحوّيين واليبوسيين. 9

And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
→Et maintenant voici, le cri des enfants d'Israël est parvenu à moi, et j'ai vu aussi l'oppression dont les Egyptiens les oppriment.والآن هوذا صراخ بني اسرائيل قد اتى اليّ ورأيت ايضا الضيقة التي يضايقهم بها المصريون

Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
→Maintenant donc viens, et je t'enverrai vers Pharaon; et tu retireras mon peuple, les enfants d'Israël, hors d'Egypte.فالآن هلم فارسلك الى فرعون وتخرج شعبي بني اسرائيل من مصر

But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
→Et Moïse répondit à Dieu : qui suis-je moi, pour aller vers Pharaon, et pour retirer d'Egypte les enfants d'Israël? فقال موسى للّه من انا حتى اذهب الى فرعون وحتى اخرج بني اسرائيل من مصر

He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
→ Et [Dieu lui] dit : [va] car je serai avec toi; et tu auras ce signe que c'est moi qui t'ai envoyé, c'est que quand tu auras retiré mon peuple d'Egypte, vous servirez Dieu près de cette montagne.فقال اني اكون معك وهذه تكون لك العلامة اني ارسلتك. حينما تخرج الشعب من مصر تعبدون الله على هذا الجبل

Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?”
→ Et Moïse dit à Dieu : voici, quand je serai venu vers les enfants d'Israël, et que je leur aurai dit : le Dieu de vos pères m'a envoyé vers vous, s'ils me disent alors : quel est son nom? que leur dirai-je? فقال موسى لله ها انا آتي الى بني اسرائيل واقول لهم اله آبائكم ارسلني اليكم. فاذا قالوا لي ما اسمه فماذا اقول لهم

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.”a And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
→Et Dieu dit à Moïse : JE SUIS CELUI QUI SUIS. Il dit aussi : tu diras ainsi aux enfants d'Israël : [celui qui s'appelle] JE SUIS, m'a envoyé vers vous. فقال الله لموسى أهيه الذي أهيه. وقال هكذا تقول لبني اسرائيل أهيه ارسلني اليكم

God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.
→Dieu dit encore à Moïse : tu diras ainsi aux enfants d'Israël; l'ETERNEL, le Dieu de vos pères, le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob m'a envoyé vers vous : c'est ici mon nom éternellement, et c'est ici le mémorial [que vous aurez] de moi dans tous les âges. وقال الله ايضا لموسى هكذا تقول لبني اسرائيل يهوه اله آبائكم اله ابراهيم واله اسحق واله يعقوب ارسلني اليكم. هذا اسمي الى الابد وهذا ذكري الى دور فدور

Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt,
→Va, et assemble les anciens d'Israël, et leur dis : l'Eternel, le Dieu de vos pères, le Dieu d'Abraham, d'Isaac, et de Jacob, m'est apparu, en disant : certainement je vous ai visités, et [j'ai vu] ce qu'on vous fait en Egypte. اذهب واجمع شيوخ اسرائيل وقل لهم الرب اله آبائكم اله ابراهيم واسحق ويعقوب ظهر لي قائلا اني قد افتقدتكم وما صنع بكم في مصر

and I promise that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey.”’
→ Et j'ai dit : je vous ferai remonter de l'Egypte où vous êtes affligés, dans le pays des Chananéens, des Héthiens, des Amorrhéens, des Phérésiens, des Héviens, et des Jébusiens, [qui est un pays] découlant de lait et de miel. فقلت اصعدكم من مذلّة مصر الى ارض الكنعانيين والحثّيين والاموريين والفرزّيين والحوّيين واليبوسيين الى ارض تفيض لبنا وعسل

And they will listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us; and now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’
→Et ils obéiront à ta parole, et tu iras, toi et les anciens d'Israël, vers le Roi d'Egypte, et vous lui direz : l'Eternel le Dieu des Hébreux nous est venu rencontrer; maintenant donc nous te prions que nous allions le chemin de trois jours au désert, et que nous sacrifiions à l'Eternel notre Dieu.
→فاذا سمعوا لقولك تدخل انت وشيوخ بني اسرائيل الى ملك مصر وتقولون له الرب اله العبرانيين التقانا. فالآن نمضي سفر ثلاثة ايام في البرية ونذبح للرب الهن

But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand.
→Or je sais que le Roi d'Egypte ne vous permettra point de vous en aller, qu'il n'y soit forcé. ولكني اعلم ان ملك مصر لا يدعكم تمضون ولا بيد قوية

So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all the wonders that I will do in it; after that he will let you go.
→Mais j'étendrai ma main, et je frapperai l'Egypte par toutes les merveilles que je ferai au milieu d'elle; et après cela, il vous laissera aller. فامدّ يدي واضرب مصر بكل عجائبي التي اصنع فيها. وبعد ذلك يطلقكم

And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty,
→Et je ferai que ce peuple trouvera grâce envers les Egyptiens, et il arrivera que quand vous partirez, vous ne vous en irez point à vide. واعطي نعمة لهذا الشعب في عيون المصريين. فيكون حينما تمضون انكم لا تمضون فارغين

but each woman shall ask of her neighbor, and any woman who lives in her house, for silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing. You shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.”
→ Mais chacune demandera à sa voisine, et à l'hôtesse de sa maison, des vaisseaux d'argent, et des vaisseaux d'or, et des vêtements, que vous mettrez sur vos fils et sur vos filles : ainsi vous butinerez les Egyptiens.بل تطلب كل امرأة من جارتها ومن نزيلة بيتها امتعة فضة وامتعة ذهب وثيابا وتضعونها على بنيكم وبناتكم. فتسلبون المصريين

Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you.’”
→Et Moïse répondit, et dit : mais voici, ils ne me croiront point, et n'obéiront point à ma parole ; car ils diront : l'Eternel ne t'est point apparu. 1فاجاب موسى وقال ولكن ها هم لا يصدقونني ولا يسمعون لقولي. بل يقولون لم يظهر لك الرب

The LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A staff.”
→فقال له الرب ما هذه في يدك. فقال عص

And he said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it.
→Et [Dieu lui] dit : jette-la par terre; et il la jeta par terre, et elle devint un serpent. Et Moïse s'enfuyait de devant lui. فقال اطرحها الى الارض. فطرحها الى الارض. فصارت حية. فهرب موسى منه

But the LORD said to Moses, “Put out your hand and catch it by the tail”—so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand—
→Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : étends ta main, et saisis sa queue; et il étendit sa main, et l'empoigna; et il redevint une verge en sa main. ثم قال الرب لموسى مدّ يدك وامسك بذنبها. فمدّ يده وامسك به. فصارت عصا في يده

“that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”
→Et [cela], afin qu'ils croient que l'Eternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob, t'est apparu.لكي يصدقوا انه قد ظهر لك الرب اله آبائهم اله ابراهيم واله اسحق واله يعقوب

Again, the LORD said to him, “Put your hand inside your cloak.”a And he put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow.
→L'Eternel lui dit encore : mets maintenant ta main dans ton sein, et il mit sa main dans son sein; puis il la tira; et voici, sa main [était blanche] de lèpre comme la neige. ثم قال له الرب ايضا ادخل يدك في عبك. فادخل يده في عبّه. ثم اخرجها واذا يده برصاء مثل الثلج

Then God said, “Put your hand back inside your cloak.” So he put his hand back inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh.
→Et [Dieu lui] dit : remets ta main dans ton sein; et il remit sa main dans son sein; puis il la retira hors de son sein; et voici, elle était redevenue comme son autre chair. ثم قال له رد يدك الى عبك. فرد يده الى عبّه. ثم اخرجها من عبّه واذا هي قد عادت مثل جسده

“If they will not believe you,” God said, “or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign.
→Mais s'il arrive qu'ils ne te croient point, et qu'ils n'obéissent point à la voix du premier signe, ils croiront à la voix du second signe. فيكون اذا لم يصدقوك ولم يسمعوا لصوت الآية الاولى انهم يصدقون صوت الآية الاخيرة

If they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you shall take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.”
→Et s'il arrive qu'ils ne croient point à ces deux signes, et qu'ils n'obéissent point à ta parole, tu prendras de l'eau du fleuve, et tu la répandras sur la terre, et les eaux que tu auras prises du fleuve, deviendront du sang sur la terre.ويكون اذا لم يصدقوا هاتين الآيتين ولم يسمعوا لقولك انك تأخذ من ماء النهر وتسكب على اليابسة فيصير الماء الذي تأخذه من النهر دما على اليابسة

But Moses said to the LORD, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”
→Et Moïse répondit à l'Eternel : hélas, Seigneur! Je ne [suis] point un homme qui ait ni d'hier, ni de devant hier, la parole aisée, même depuis que tu as parlé à ton serviteur; car j'ai la bouche et la langue empêchées. فقال موسى للرب استمع ايها السيد. لست انا صاحب كلام منذ امس ولا اول من امس ولا من حين كلمت عبدك. بل انا ثقيل الفم واللسان

Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
→Et l'Eternel lui dit : qui [est-ce] qui a fait la bouche de l'homme? ou qui a fait le muet, ou le sourd, ou le voyant, ou l'aveugle? n'est-ce pas moi, l'Eternel? فقال له الرب من صنع للانسان فما او من يصنع اخرس او اصمّ او بصيرا او اعمى. أما هو انا الرب

Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”
→Va donc maintenant, et je serai avec ta bouche, et je t'enseignerai ce que tu auras à dire. فالآن اذهب وانا اكون مع فمك وأعلمك ما تتكلم به

But he said, “Oh, my Lord, please send someone else.”
→ Et [Moïse] répondit : hélas! Seigneur, envoie, je te prie, celui que tu dois envoyer.فقال استمع ايها السيد. ارسل بيد من ترسل

Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses and he said, “Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
→ Et la colère de l'Eternel s'embrasa contre Moïse, et il lui dit : Aaron le Lévite n'est-il pas ton frère? je sais qu'il parlera très-bien, et même le voilà qui sort à ta rencontre, et quand il te verra, il se réjouira dans son cœur. فحمي غضب الرب على موسى وقال أليس هرون اللاوي اخاك. انا اعلم انه هو يتكلم. وايضا ها هو خارج لاستقبالك. فحينما يراك يفرح بقلبه

You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do.
→Tu lui parleras donc et tu mettras ces paroles en sa bouche; et je serai avec ta bouche et avec la sienne, et je vous enseignerai ce que vous aurez à faire. فتكلمه وتضع الكلمات في فمه. وانا اكون مع فمك ومع فمه وأعلمكما ماذا تصنعان

He shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and you shall be as God to him.
→وهو يكلم الشعب عنك. وهو يكون لك فما وانت تكون له اله

And take in your hand this staff, with which you shall do the signs.”
→وتاخذ في يدك هذه العصا التي تصنع بها الآيات

Moses went back to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, “Please let me go back to my brothers in Egypt to see whether they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”
→Ainsi Moïse s'en alla, et retourna vers Jéthro son beau-père, et lui dit : je te prie, que je m'en aille, et que je retourne vers mes frères qui [sont] en Egypte, pour voir s'ils vivent encore. Et Jéthro lui dit : Va en paix. فمضى موسى ورجع الى يثرون حميه وقال له انا اذهب وارجع الى اخوتي الذين في مصر لأرى هل هم بعد احياء. فقال يثرون لموسى اذهب بسلام

And the LORD said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for all the men who were seeking your life are dead.”
→Or l'Eternel dit à Moïse au pays de Madian: Va, [et] retourne en Egypte; car tous ceux qui cherchaient ta vie sont morts. وقال الرب لموسى في مديان اذهب ارجع الى مصر. لانه قد مات جميع القوم الذين كانوا يطلبون نفسك

So Moses took his wife and his sons and had them ride on a donkey, and went back to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the staff of God in his hand.
→Ainsi Moïse prit sa femme, et ses fils, et les mit sur un âne, et retourna au pays d'Egypte. Moïse prit aussi la verge de Dieu en sa main.فأخذ موسى امرأته وبنيه واركبهم على الحمير ورجع الى ارض مصر. واخذ موسى عصا الله في يده

And the LORD said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the miracles that I have put in your power. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.
→Et L'Eternel avait dit à Moïse : quand tu t'en iras pour retourner en Egypte, tu prendras garde à tous les miracles que j'ai mis en ta main; et tu les feras devant Pharaon; mais j'endurcirai son cœur, et il ne laissera point aller le peuple. وقال الرب لموسى عندما تذهب لترجع الى مصر انظر جميع العجائب التي جعلتها في يدك واصنعها قدام فرعون. ولكني اشدد قلبه حتى لا يطلق الشعب

Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the LORD, Israel is my firstborn son,
→فتقول لفرعون هكذا يقول الرب. اسرائيل ابني البكر

and I say to you, “Let my son go that he may serve me.” If you refuse to let him go, behold, I will kill your firstborn son.’”
→فقلت لك اطلق ابني ليعبدني فأبيت ان تطلقه ها انا اقتل ابنك البكر

At a lodging place on the way the LORD met him and sought to put him to death.
→Or il arriva que [comme Moïse était] en chemin dans l'hôtellerie, l'Eternel le rencontra, et chercha de le faire mourir.وحدث في الطريق في المنزل ان الرب التقاه وطلب ان يقتله

Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’c feet with it and said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me!”
→ Et Séphora prit un couteau tranchant, et en coupa le prépuce de son fils, et le jeta à ses pieds, et dit : certes tu m'[es] un époux de sang. فاخذت صفّورة صوّانة وقطعت غرلة ابنها ومسّت رجليه. فقالت انك عريس دم لي

So he let him alone. It was then that she said, “A bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.
→فانفكّ عنه. حينئذ قالت عريس دم من اجل الختان

The LORD said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he went and met him at the mountain of God and kissed him.
→ وقال الرب لهرون اذهب الى البرية لاستقبال موسى. فذهب والتقاه في جبل الله وقبّله

And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD with which he had sent him to speak, and all the signs that he had commanded him to do.
→Et Moïse raconta à Aaron toutes les paroles de l'Eternel qui l'avait envoyé, et tous les signes qu'il lui avait commandés [de faire].ثم مضى موسى وهرون وجمعا جميع شيوخ بني اسرائيل

Then Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the people of Israel.
→Moïse donc poursuivit son chemin avec Aaron; et ils assemblèrent tous les anciens des enfants d'Israël. فتكلم هرون بجميع الكلام الذي كلم الرب موسى به وصنع الآيات امام عيون الشعب

Aaron spoke all the words that the LORD had spoken to Moses and did the signs in the sight of the people.
→Et Aaron dit toutes les paroles que l'Eternel avait dit à Moïse; et fit les signes devant les yeux du peuple. فآمن الشعب. ولما سمعوا ان الرب افتقد بني اسرائيل وانه نظر مذلّتهم خرّوا وسجدو

And the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped.
→Et le peuple crut; et ils apprirent que l'Eternel avait visité les enfants d'Israël, et qu'il avait vu leur affliction; et ils s'inclinèrent, et se prosternèrent.

Afterward Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”
→Après cela Moïse et Aaron s'en allèrent et dirent à Pharaon : ainsi a dit l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël; laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'il me célèbre une fête solennelle dans le désert. وبعد ذلك دخل موسى وهرون وقالا لفرعون هكذا يقول الرب اله اسرائيل اطلق شعبي ليعيّدوا لي في البرية

But Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and moreover, I will not let Israel go.”
→Mais Pharaon dit : qui est l'Eternel, pour que j'obéisse à sa voix et que je laisse aller Israël? Je ne connais point l'Eternel, et je ne laisserai point aller Israël. فقال فرعون من هو الرب حتى اسمع لقوله فأطلق اسرائيل. لا اعرف الرب واسرائيل لا اطلقه

Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God, lest he fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.”
→Et ils dirent : le Dieu des Hébreux est venu au-devant de nous. Nous te prions que nous allions le chemin de trois jours au désert, et que nous sacrifiions à l'Eternel notre Dieu; de peur qu'il ne se jette sur nous par la mortalité, ou par l'épée. فقالا اله العبرانيين قد التقانا. فنذهب سفر ثلاثة ايام في البرية ونذبح للرب الهنا. لئلا يصيبنا بالوبإ او بالسيف

But the king of Egypt said to them, “Moses and Aaron, why do you take the people away from their work? Get back to your burdens.”
→فقال لهما ملك مصر لماذا يا موسى وهرون تبطلان الشعب من اعماله. اذهبا الى اثقالكم

And Pharaoh said, “Behold, the people of the land are now many, and you make them rest from their burdens!”
→Pharaon dit aussi : voici, le peuple de ce pays est maintenant en grand nombre, et vous les faites chômer de leur travail.وقال فرعون هوذا الآن شعب الارض كثير وانتما تريحانهم من اثقالهم

The same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their foremen,
→Et Pharaon commanda ce jour-là aux exacteurs [établis] sur le peuple, et à ses Commissaires, en disant : فامر فرعون في ذلك اليوم مسخّري الشعب ومدبّريه قائل

The same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their foremen,
→Vous ne donnerez plus de paille à ce peuple pour faire des briques, comme auparavant; [mais] qu'ils aillent, et qu'ils s'amassent de la paille. لا تعودوا تعطون الشعب تبنا لصنع اللبن كامس واول من امس. ليذهبوا هم ويجمعوا تبنا لانفسهم.

But the number of bricks that they made in the past you shall impose on them, you shall by no means reduce it, for they are idle. Therefore they cry, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifice to our God.’
→Néanmoins vous leur imposerez la quantité des briques qu'ils faisaient auparavant, sans en rien diminuer; car ils sont gens de loisir, et c'est pour cela qu'ils crient, en disant : allons, [et] sacrifions à notre Dieu. ومقدار اللبن الذي كانوا يصنعونه امس واول من امس تجعلون عليهم. لا تنقصوا منه. فانهم متكاسلون لذلك يصرخون قائلين نذهب ونذبح لالهن

Let heavier work be laid on the men that they may labor at it and pay no regard to lying words.”
→ليثقل العمل على القوم حتى يشتغلوا به ولا يلتفتوا الى كلام الكذب

So the taskmasters and the foremen of the people went out and said to the people, “Thus says Pharaoh, ‘I will not give you straw.
→Alors les exacteurs du peuple, et ses Commissaires sortirent, et dirent au peuple : ainsi a dit Pharaon : je ne vous donnerai plus de paille. فخرج مسخّرو الشعب ومدبّروه وكلموا الشعب قائلين هكذا يقول فرعون لست اعطيكم تبن

So the people were scattered throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.
→Allez vous-mêmes [et] prenez de la paille où vous en trouverez; mais il ne [sera] rien diminué de votre travail.اذهبوا انتم وخذوا لانفسكم تبنا من حيث تجدون. انه لا ينقص من عملكم شيء

Alors le peuple se répandit par tout le pays d'Egypte, pour amasser du chaume au lieu de paille.
→So the people were scattered throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.فتفرّق الشعب في كل ارض مصر ليجمعوا قشا عوضا عن التبن

And the foremen of the people of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, “Why have you not done all your task of making bricks today and yesterday, as in the past?”
→Même les Commissaires des enfants d'Israël, que les exacteurs de Pharaon avaient établis sur eux, furent battus, [et on leur] dit : pourquoi n'avez-vous point achevé votre tâche en faisant des briques hier et aujourd'hui, comme auparavant?فضرب مدبرو بني اسرائيل الذين اقامهم عليهم مسخّرو فرعون وقيل لهم لماذا لم تكملوا فريضتكم من صنع اللبن امس واليوم كالامس واول من امس



Then the foremen of the people of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, “Why do you treat your servants like this?
→Alors les Commissaires des enfants d'Israël vinrent crier à Pharaon, en disant : pourquoi fais-tu ainsi à tes serviteurs? فأتى مدبرو بنو اسرائيل وصرخوا الى فرعون قائلين لماذا تفعل هكذا بعبيدك

No straw is given to your servants, yet they say to us, ‘Make bricks!’ And behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.”
→On ne donne point de paille à tes serviteurs, et toutefois on nous dit : faites des briques; et voici, tes serviteurs sont battus, et ton peuple est traité comme coupable. التبن ليس يعطى لعبيدك واللبن يقولون لنا اصنعوه. وهوذا عبيدك مضروبون. وقد اخطأ شعبك

But he said, “You are idle, you are idle; that is why you say, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.’
→فقال متكاسلون انتم متكاسلون. لذلك تقولون نذهب ونذبح للرب

Go now and work. No straw will be given you, but you must still deliver the same number of bricks.”
→Maintenant donc allez, travaillez; car on ne vous donnera point de paille, et vous rendrez la même quantité de briques. فالآن اذهبوا اعملوا. وتبن لا يعطى لكم ومقدار اللبن تقدمونه

The foremen of the people of Israel saw that they were in trouble when they said, “You shall by no means reduce your number of bricks, your daily task each day.”
→ Et les Commissaires des enfants d'Israël virent qu'ils étaient dans un mauvais état, puisqu'on disait : vous ne diminuerez rien de vos briques sur la tâche de chaque jour. فرأى مدبّرو بني اسرائيل انفسهم في بليّة اذ قيل لهم لا تنقصوا من لبنكم امر كل يوم بيومه

They met Moses and Aaron, who were waiting for them, as they came out from Pharaoh;
→Et en sortant de devant Pharaon ils rencontrèrent Moïse et Aaron, qui se trouvèrent au-devant d'eux. وصادفوا موسى وهرون واقفين للقائهم حين خرجوا من لدن فرعون

and they said to them, “The LORD look on you and judge, because you have made us stink in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants, and have put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
→ Et ils leur dirent : que l'Eternel vous regarde, et en juge, vu que vous nous avez mis en mauvaise odeur devant Pharaon et devant ses serviteurs, leur mettant l'épée à la main pour nous tuer.فقالوا لهما ينظر الرب اليكما ويقضي. لانكما انتنتما رائحتنا في عيني فرعون وفي عيون عبيده حتى تعطيا سيفا في ايديهم ليقتلون

Alors Moïse retourna vers l'Eternel, et dit : Seigneur! pourquoi as-tu fait maltraiter ce peuple? pourquoi m'as-tu envoyé?
→ וַיָּ֧שָׁב מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה וַיֹּאמַ֑ר אֲדֹנָ֗י לָמָ֤ה הֲרֵעֹ֙תָה֙ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה לָ֥מָּה זֶּ֖ה שְׁלַחְתָּֽנִי׃فرجع موسى الى الرب وقال يا سيد لماذا اسأت الى هذا الشعب. لماذا ارسلتني

For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people, and you have not delivered your people at all.”
→ Car depuis que je suis venu vers Pharaon pour parler en ton nom, il a maltraité ce peuple, et tu n'as point délivré ton peuple..فانه منذ دخلت الى فرعون لاتكلم باسمك اساء الى هذا الشعب. وانت لم تخلّص شعبك

But the LORD said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand he will send them out, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”
→Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse: tu verras maintenant ce que je ferai à Pharaon; car il les laissera aller, y [étant contraint] par main forte, [étant, dis-je, contraint] par main forte, il les chassera de son pays.فقال الرب لموسى الآن تنظر ما انا افعل بفرعون. فانه بيد قوية يطلقهم وبيد قوية يطردهم من ارضه

God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the LORD.
→Dieu parla encore à Moïse, et lui dit : je suis l'Eternel. ثم كلم الله موسى وقال له انا الرب

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, a but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them.
→Je suis apparu à Abraham, à Isaac, et à Jacob, comme le [Dieu] Fort, Tout-puissant, mais je n'ai point été connu d'eux par mon nom d'Eternel. وانا ظهرت لابراهيم واسحق ويعقوب باني الاله القادر على كل شيء. واما باسمي يهوه فلم أعرف عندهم.

I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they lived as sojourners.
→J'ai fait [aussi] cette alliance avec eux, que je leur donnerai le pays de Chanaan, le pays de leurs pèlerinages, dans lequel ils ont demeuré comme étrangers. وايضا اقمت معهم عهدي ان اعطيهم ارض كنعان ارض غربتهم التي تغربوا فيه

Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the people of Israel whom the Egyptians hold as slaves, and I have remembered my covenant.
→Et j'ai entendu les sanglots des enfants d'Israël, que les Egyptiens tiennent esclaves, et je me suis souvenu de mon alliance. وانا ايضا قد سمعت أنين بني اسرائيل الذين يستعبدهم المصريون وتذكرت عهدي

Say therefore to the people of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.
→ C'est pourquoi dis aux enfants d'Israël : je suis l'Eternel, et je vous retirerai de dessous les charges des Egyptiens, et je vous délivrerai de leur servitude, je vous rachèterai à bras étendu, et par de grands jugements. لذلك قل لبني اسرائيل انا الرب. وانا اخرجكم من تحت اثقال المصريين وانقذكم من عبوديتهم واخلصكم بذراع ممدودة وباحكام عظيمة

I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
→Et je vous prendrai pour être mon peuple, je vous serai Dieu, et vous connaîtrez que je suis l'Eternel votre Dieu, qui vous retire de dessous les charges des Égyptiens. واتخذكم لي شعبا واكون لكم الها. فتعلمون اني انا الرب الهكم الذي يخرجكم من تحت اثقال المصريين

I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.’”
→Et je vous ferai entrer au pays touchant lequel j'ai levé ma main, que je le donnerais à Abraham, à Isaac, et à Jacob, et je vous le donnerai en héritage : Je suis l'Eternel. وادخلكم الى الارض التي رفعت يدي ان اعطيها لابراهيم واسحق ويعقوب. واعطيكم اياها ميراثا. انا الرب

Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery.
→Moïse donc parla en cette manière aux enfants d'Israël. Mais ils n'écoutèrent point Moïse, à cause de l'angoisse de leur esprit, et à cause de leur dure servitude.فكلم موسى هكذا بني اسرئيل. ولكن لم يسمعوا لموسى من صغر النفس ومن العبودية القاسية

So the LORD said to Moses,
→Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant : ثم كلم الرب موسى قائل

“Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land.”
→Va, et dis à Pharaon Roi d'Egypte, qu'il laisse sortir les enfants d'Israël de son pays.ادخل قل لفرعون ملك مصر ان يطلق بني اسرائيل من ارضه

But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me,for I am of uncircumcised lips?”
→Alors Moïse parla devant l'Eternel, en disant : voici, les enfants d'Israël ne m'ont point écouté, et comment Pharaon m'écoutera-t-il, moi, qui suis incirconcis de lèvres?فتكلم موسى امام الرب قائلا هوذا بنو اسرائيل لم يسمعوا لي. فكيف يسمعني فرعون وانا اغلف الشفتين

But the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a charge about the people of Israel and about Pharaoh king of Egypt: to bring the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
→Mais l'Eternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, et leur commanda [d'aller trouver] les enfants d'Israël, et Pharaon Roi d'Egypte, pour retirer les enfants d'Israël du pays d'Egypte.فكلم الرب موسى وهرون واوصى معهما الى بني اسرائيل والى فرعون ملك مصر في اخراج بني اسرائيل من ارض مصر

These are the heads of their fathers’ houses: the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the clans of Reuben.
→Ce sont ici les Chefs des maisons de leurs pères : Les enfants de Ruben, premier-né d'Israël, Hénoc et Pallu, Hetsron et Carmi; ce [sont] là les familles de Ruben. هؤلاء رؤساء بيوت آبائهم. بنو رأوبين بكر اسرائيل حنوك وفلو وحصرون وكرمي. هذه عشائر رأوبين

The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the clans of Simeon.
→Et les enfants de Siméon, Jémuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Tsohar, et Saül, fils d'une Chananéenne ; ce sont là les familles de Siméon. وبنو شمعون يموئيل ويامين وأوهد وياكين وصوحر وشأول ابن الكنعانية. هذه عشائر شمعون

These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, the years of the life of Levi being 137 years.
→Et ce sont ici les noms des enfants de Lévi selon leur naissance : Guerson, Kéhath et Mérari. Et les années de la vie de Lévi furent cent trente-sept. وهذه اسماء بني لاوي بحسب مواليدهم. جرشون وقهات ومراري. وكانت سنو حياة لاوي مئة وسبعا وثلاثين سنة

The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, by their clans.
→Les enfants de Guerson, Libni et Simhi, selon leurs familles. ابنا جرشون لبني وشمعي بحسب عشائرهما

The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, the years of the life of Kohath being 133 years.
→وبنو قهات عمرام ويصهار وحبرون وعزّيئيل. وكانت سنو حياة قهات مئة وثلاثا وثلاثين سنة

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites according to their generations.
→Et les enfants de Mérari, Mahli et Musi; ce sont là les familles de Lévi selon leurs générations. وابنا مراري محلي وموشي. هذه عشائر اللاويين بحسب مواليدهم

Amram took as his wife Jochebed his father’s sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being 137 years.
→Or Hamram prit Jokébed sa tante pour femme, qui lui enfanta Aaron et Moïse; et les années de la vie de Hamram furent cent trente-sept. واخذ عمرام يوكابد عمته زوجة له. فولدت له هرون وموسى. وكانت سنو حياة عمرام مئة وسبعا وثلاثين سنة

The sons of Izhar: Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
→Et les enfants de Jitshar, Coré, Népheg, et Zicri. وبنو يصهار قورح ونافج وذكري

The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
→Et les enfants de Huziel, Misaël, Eltsaphan, et Sithri. وبنو عزّيئيل ميشائيل وألصافان وسنري

Aaron took as his wife Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
→Et Aaron prit pour femme Elisébah, fille de Hamminadab, sœur de Nahasson, qui lui enfanta Nadab, Abihu, Eléazar, et Ithamar. واخذ هرون أليشابع بنت عمّيناداب اخت نحشون زوجة له. فولدت له ناداب وابيهو والعازار وإيثامار

The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the clans of the Korahites.
→ Et les enfants de Coré, Assir, Elkana, et Abiasaph. Ce sont là les familles des Corites. وبنو قورح أسّير وألقانة وابيأساف. هذه عشائر القورحيين

Eleazar, Aaron’s son, took as his wife one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites by their clans.
→Mais Eléazar fils d'Aaron prit pour femme une des filles de Puthiel, qui lui enfanta Phinées. Ce sont là les Chefs des pères des Lévites selon leurs familles. والعازار ابن هرون اخذ لنفسه من بنات فوطيئيل زوجة. فولدت له فينحاس. هؤلاء هم رؤساء آباء اللاويين بحسب عشائرهم

These are the Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said: “Bring out the people of Israel from the land of Egypt by their hosts.”
→Or c'est là cet Aaron et ce Moïse auxquels l'Eternel dit : retirez les enfants d'Israël du pays d'Egypte selon leurs armées. هذان هما هرون وموسى اللذان قال الرب لهما أخرجا بني اسرائيل من ارض مصر بحسب اجنادهم



It was they who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the people of Israel from Egypt, this Moses and this Aaron.
→ Ce sont eux qui parlèrent à Pharaon Roi d'Egypte, pour retirer d'Egypte les enfants d'Israël. C'est ce Moïse, et c'est cet Aaron.هما اللذان كلما فرعون ملك مصر في اخراج بني اسرائيل من مصر هذان هما موسى وهرون

On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
→ وكان يوم كلم الرب موسى في ارض مصر

the LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.”
→Que l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant : je suis l'Eternel; dis à Pharaon Roi d'Egypte toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites.ان الرب كلمه قائلا انا الرب. كلم فرعون ملك مصر بكل ما انا اكلمك به

But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. How will Pharaoh listen to me?”
→فقال موسى امام الرب ها انا اغلف الشفتين. فكيف يسمع لي فرعون

فقال الرب لموسى انظر. انا جعلتك الها لفرعون. وهرون اخوك يكون نبيّك
→וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה רְאֵ֛ה נְתַתִּ֥יךָ אֱלֹהִ֖ים לְפַרְעֹ֑ה וְאַהֲרֹ֥ן אָחִ֖יךָ יִהְיֶ֥ה נְבִיאֶֽךָ׃

You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land.
→ Tu diras toutes les choses que je t'aurai commandées, et Aaron ton frère dira à Pharaon qu'il laisse aller les enfants d'Israël hors de son pays. انت تتكلم بكل ما آمرك. وهرون اخوك يكلم فرعون ليطلق بني اسرائيل من ارضه

But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,
→ Mais j'endurcirai le cœur de Pharaon, et je multiplierai mes signes et mes miracles au pays d'Egypte. ولكني اقسّي قلب فرعون واكثّر آياتي وعجائبي في ارض مصر

Et Pharaon ne vous écoutera point; je mettrai ma main sur l'Egypte, et je retirerai mes armées, mon peuple, les enfants d'Israël, du pays d'Egypte, par de grands jugements.
→ фараон не послушает вас, и Я наложу руку Мою на Египет и выведу воинство Мое, народ Мой, сынов Израилевых, из земли Египетской судами великими; ولا يسمع لكما فرعون حتى اجعل يدي على مصر فاخرج اجنادي شعبي بني اسرائيل من ارض مصر باحكام عظيمة

The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them.”
→ Et les Égyptiens sauront que je suis l'Eternel, quand j'aurai étendu ma main sur l'Egypte, et que j'aurai retiré du milieu d'eux les enfants d'Israël. فيعرف المصريون اني انا الرب حينما امد يدي على مصر واخرج بني اسرائيل من بينهم

Et Moïse et Aaron firent comme l'Eternel leur avait commandé; ils firent ainsi.
→וַיַּ֥עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְאַהֲרֹ֑ן כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֹתָ֖ם כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ׃ففعل موسى وهرون كما امرهما الرب. هكذا فعل

Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
→Or Moïse était âgé de quatre-vingts ans, et Aaron de quatre-vingt-trois, quand ils parlèrent à Pharaon.وكان موسى ابن ثمانين سنة وهرون ابن ثلاث وثمانين سنة حين كلما فرعون

Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
→وكلم الرب موسى وهرون قائل

“When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Prove yourselves by working a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.’”
→Quand Pharaon vous parlera, en disant : faites un miracle; tu diras alors à Aaron : prends ta verge, et la jette devant Pharaon, [et] elle deviendra un dragon. فدخل موسى وهرون الى فرعون وفعلا هكذا كما امر الرب. طرح هرون عصاه امام فرعون وامام عبيده فصارت ثعبان

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.
→Moïse donc et Aaron vinrent vers Pharaon, et firent comme l'Eternel avait commandé; et Aaron jeta sa verge devant Pharaon, et devant ses serviteurs, et elle devint un dragon. فدخل موسى وهرون الى فرعون وفعلا هكذا كما امر الرب. طرح هرون عصاه امام فرعون وامام عبيده فصارت ثعبان

Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the magicians of Egypt, also did the same by their secret arts.
→Mais Pharaon fit venir aussi les sages et les enchanteurs; et les magiciens d'Egypte firent le semblable par leurs enchantements. فدعا فرعون ايضا الحكماء والسحرة. ففعل عرّافو مصر ايضا بسحرهم كذلك

For each man cast down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.
→Ils jetèrent donc chacun leurs verges, et elles devinrent des dragons; mais la verge d'Aaron engloutit leurs verges. طرحوا كل واحد عصاه فصارت العصي ثعابين. ولكن عصا هرون ابتلعت عصيهم

Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
→Et le cœur de Pharaon s'endurcit, et il ne les écouta point; selon que l'Eternel [en] avait parlé.فاشتدّ قلب فرعون فلم يسمع لهما كما تكلم الرب

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.
→Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : le cœur de Pharaon est endurci, il a refusé de laisser aller le peuple.ثم قال الرب لموسى قلب فرعون غليظ. قد أبى ان يطلق الشعب

Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he is going out to the water. Stand on the bank of the Nile to meet him, and take in your hand the staff that turned into a serpent.
→Va-t'en dès le matin vers Pharaon; voici, il sortira vers l'eau, tu te présenteras donc devant lui sur le bord du fleuve, et tu prendras en ta main la verge qui a été changée en serpent. وتقول له الرب اله العبرانيين ارسلني اليك قائلا اطلق شعبي ليعبدوني في البرية. وهوذا حتى الآن لم تسمع

And you shall say to him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness.” But so far, you have not obeyed.
→Et tu lui diras : l'Eternel, le Dieu des Hébreux m'avait envoyé vers toi, pour [te] dire : laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'il me serve au désert; mais voici, tu ne m'as point écouté jusques ici. وتقول له الرب اله العبرانيين ارسلني اليك قائلا اطلق شعبي ليعبدوني في البرية. وهوذا حتى الآن لم تسمع

Thus says the LORD, “By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, with the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water that is in the Nile, and it shall turn into blood.
→Ainsi a dit l'Éternel : tu sauras à ceci que je suis l'Eternel;voici, je m'en vais frapper de la verge qui [est] en ma main les eaux du fleuve, et elles seront changées en sang. هكذا يقول الرب بهذا تعرف اني انا الرب. ها انا اضرب بالعصا التي في يدي على الماء الذي في النهر فيتحول دم

The fish in the Nile shall die, and the Nile will stink, and the Egyptians will grow weary of drinking water from the Nile.”’”
→Et le poisson qui est dans le fleuve, mourra, et le fleuve deviendra puant, et les Egyptiens travailleront beaucoup pour [trouver] à boire des eaux du fleuve. ويموت السمك الذي في النهر وينتن النهر. فيعاف المصريون ان يشربوا ماء النهر

And the LORD said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, their canals, and their ponds, and all their pools of water, so that they may become blood, and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”
→L'Eternel dit aussi à Moïse : dis à Aaron : prends ta verge, et étends ta main sur les eaux des Egyptiens, sur leurs rivières, sur leurs ruisseaux, et sur leurs marais, et sur tous les amas de leurs eaux, et elles deviendront du sang, et il y aura du sang par tout le pays d'Egypte, dans les vaisseaux de bois et de pierre.19ثم قال الرب لموسى قل لهرون خذ عصاك ومد يدك على مياه المصريين على انهارهم وعلى سواقيهم وعلى آجامهم وعلى كل مجتمعات مياههم لتصير دما. فيكون دم في كل ارض مصر في الاخشاب وفي الاحجار

Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded. In the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants he lifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the water in the Nile turned into blood.
→Moïse donc et Aaron firent selon que l'Eternel avait commandé. Et [Aaron] ayant levé la verge, en frappa les eaux du fleuve, Pharaon et ses serviteurs le voyant; et toutes les eaux du fleuve furent changées en sang.ففعل هكذا موسى وهرون كما امر الرب. رفع العصا وضرب الماء الذي في النهر امام عيني فرعون وامام عيون عبيده. فتحول كل الماء الذي في النهر دم

And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
→ Et le poisson qui était au fleuve mourut, et le fleuve en devint puant, tellement que les Egyptiens ne pouvaient point boire des eaux du fleuve; et il y eut du sang par tout le pays d'Egypte. ومات السمك الذي في النهر وأنتن النهر. فلم يقدر المصريون ان يشربوا ماء من النهر وكان الدم في كل ارض مصر

But the magicians of Egypt did the same by their secret arts. So Pharaoh’s heart remained hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
→Et les magiciens d'Egypte firent le semblable par leurs enchantements; et le cœur de Pharaon s'endurcit, tellement qu'il ne les écouta point; selon que l'Eternel en avait parlé. وفعل عرّافو مصر كذلك بسحرهم. فاشتدّ قلب فرعون فلم يسمع لهما كما تكلم الرب

Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he did not take even this to heart.
→Et Pharaon [leur] ayant tourné le dos, vint en sa maison, et n'appliqua point encore son cœur aux choses [qu'il avait vues].ثم انصرف فرعون ودخل بيته ولم يوجّه قلبه الى هذا ايض

And all the Egyptians dug along the Nile for water to drink, for they could not drink the water of the Nile.
→Or tous les Egyptiens creusèrent autour du fleuve pour [trouver] de l'eau à boire, parce qu'ils ne pouvaient pas boire de l'eau du fleuve. وحفر جميع المصريين حوالي النهر لاجل ماء ليشربوا. لانهم لم يقدروا ان يشربوا من ماء النهر

Seven full days passed after the LORD had struck the Nile.
→ولما كملت سبعة ايام بعدما ضرب الرب النهر

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
→Après cela l'Eternel dit à Moïse : va vers Pharaon, et lui dis : ainsi a dit l'Eternel : laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'ils me servent. قال الرب لموسى ادخل الى فرعون وقل له هكذا يقول الرب اطلق شعبي ليعبدوني



But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your country with frogs.
→Que si tu refuses de le laisser aller, voici, je m'en vais frapper de grenouilles toutes tes contrées. وان كنت تأبى ان تطلقهم فها انا اضرب جميع تخومك بالضفادع

The Nile shall swarm with frogs that shall come up into your house and into your bedroom and on your bed and into the houses of your servants and your people and into your ovens and your kneading bowls.
→Et le fleuve fourmillera de grenouilles, qui monteront et entreront dans ta maison, et dans la chambre où tu couches, et sur ton lit, et dans la maison de tes serviteurs, et parmi tout ton peuple, dans tes fours, et dans tes maies. فيفيض النهر ضفادع. فتصعد وتدخل الى بيتك والى مخدع فراشك وعلى سريرك والى بيوت عبيدك وعلى شعبك والى تنانيرك والى معاجنك

The frogs shall come up on you and on your people and on all your servants.
→Ainsi les grenouilles monteront sur toi, sur ton peuple, et sur tous tes serviteurs. عليك وعلى شعبك وعبيدك تصعد الضفادع

And the LORD said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the canals and over the pools, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt!’”
→L'Eternel donc dit à Moïse : dis à Aaron : étends ta main avec ta verge sur les fleuves, sur les rivières, et sur les marais, et fais monter les grenouilles sur le pays d'Egypte. فقال الرب لموسى قل لهرون مدّ يدك بعصاك على الانهار والسواقي والآجام واصعد الضفادع على ارض مصر

So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.
→Et Aaron étendit sa main sur les eaux de l'Egypte, et les grenouilles montèrent, et couvrirent le pays d'Egypte. فمدّ هرون يده على مياه مصر. فصعدت الضفادع وغطت ارض مصر

But the magicians did the same by their secret arts and made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.
→ Mais les magiciens firent de même par leurs enchantements, et firent monter des grenouilles sur le pays d'Egypte.وفعل كذلك العرافون بسحرهم واصعدوا الضفادع على ارض مصر

Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said, “Plead with the LORD to take away the frogs from me and from my people, and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.”
→Alors Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron, et leur dit : fléchissez l'Eternel par [vos] prières, afin qu'il retire les grenouilles de dessus moi et de dessus mon peuple; et je laisserai aller le peuple, afin qu'ils sacrifient à l'Eternel. فدعا فرعون موسى وهرون وقال صليا الى الرب ليرفع الضفادع عني وعن شعبي فأطلق الشعب ليذبحوا للرب

Moses said to Pharaoh, “Be pleased to command me when I am to plead for you and for your servants and for your people, that the frogs be cut off from you and your houses and be left only in the Nile.”
→Et Moïse dit à Pharaon: glorifie-toi sur moi. Pour quel temps fléchirai-je par mes prières [l'Eternel] pour toi et pour tes serviteurs, et pour ton peuple, afin qu'il chasse les grenouilles loin de toi, et de tes maisons? Il en demeurera seulement dans le fleuve.فقال موسى لفرعون عيّن لي متى اصلي لاجلك ولاجل عبيدك وشعبك لقطع الضفادع عنك وعن بيوتك. ولكنها تبقى في النهر

And he said, “Tomorrow.” Moses said, “Be it as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.
→ Alors il répondit : pour demain. Et [Moïse] dit : [il sera fait] selon ta parole, afin que tu saches qu'il n'y a nul [Dieu] tel que l'Eternel notre Dieu. فقال غدا. فقال كقولك. لكي تعرف ان ليس مثل الرب الهن

The frogs shall go away from you and your houses and your servants and your people. They shall be left only in the Nile.”
→Les grenouilles donc se retireront de toi, et de tes maisons, et de tes serviteurs, et de ton peuple; il en demeurera seulement dans le fleuve. فترتفع الضفادع عنك وعن بيوتك وعبيدك وشعبك. ولكنها تبقى في النهر

So Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried to the LORD about the frogs, as he had agreed with Pharaoh.
→Alors Moïse et Aaron sortirent d'avec Pharaon; et Moïse cria à l'Eternel au sujet des grenouilles qu'il avait fait venir sur Pharaon. ثم خرج موسى وهرون من لدن فرعون وصرخ موسى الى الرب من اجل الضفادع التي جعلها على فرعون

And the LORD did according to the word of Moses. The frogs died out in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields.
→Et l'Eternel fit selon la parole de Moïse. Ainsi les grenouilles moururent; et il n'y en eut plus dans les maisons, ni dans les villages, ni à la campagne. ففعل الرب كقول موسى. فماتت الضفادع من البيوت والدور والحقول

And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
→ Et on les amassa par monceaux, et la terre en fut infectée. وجمعوها كوما كثيرة حتى أنتنت الارض

But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart and would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
→Mais Pharaon voyant qu'il avait du relâche, endurcit son cœur, et ne les écouta point, selon que l'Eternel [en] avait parlé.فلما رأى فرعون انه قد حصل الفرج اغلظ قلبه ولم يسمع لهما كما تكلم الرب

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the earth, so that it may become gnats in all the land of Egypt.’”
→Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : dis à Aaron : étends ta verge, et frappe la poussière de la terre, et elle deviendra des poux par tout le pays d'Egypte. ثم قال الرب لموسى قل لهرون مدّ عصاك واضرب تراب الارض ليصير بعوضا في جميع ارض مصر

And they did so. Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff and struck the dust of the earth, and there were gnats on man and beast. All the dust of the earth became gnats in all the land of Egypt.
→Et ils firent ainsi. Et Aaron étendit sa main avec sa verge, et frappa la poussière de la terre, et elle devint des poux, sur les hommes, et sur les bêtes; toute la poussière du pays devint des poux en tout le pays d'Egypte. ففعلا كذلك. مدّ هرون يده بعصاه وضرب تراب الارض. فصار البعوض على الناس وعلى البهائم. كل تراب الارض صار بعوضا في جميع ارض مصر

The magicians tried by their secret arts to produce gnats, but they could not. So there were gnats on man and beast.
→Et les magiciens voulurent faire de même par leurs enchantements, pour produire des poux, mais ils ne purent. Les poux furent donc tant sur les hommes que sur les bêtes.وفعل كذلك العرافون بسحرهم ليخرجوا البعوض فلم يستطيعوا. وكان البعوض على الناس وعلى البهائم

Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
→Alors les magiciens dirent à Pharaon : c'est ici le doigt de Dieu. Toutefois le cœur de Pharaon s'endurcit et il ne les écouta point, selon que l'Eternel [en] avait parlé.فقال العرافون لفرعون هذا اصبع الله. ولكن اشتد قلب فرعون فلم يسمع لهما كما تكلم الرب

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning and present yourself to Pharaoh, as he goes out to the water, and say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
→Puis l'Eternel dit à Moïse : lève-toi de bon matin, et te présente devant Pharaon; voici, il sortira vers l'eau, et tu lui diras : ainsi a dit l'Eternel : laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'ils me servent. ثم قال الرب لموسى بكّر في الصباح وقف امام فرعون. انه يخرج الى الماء. وقل له هكذا يقول الرب اطلق شعبي ليعبدوني

Or else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and your servants and your people, and into your houses. And the houses of the Egyptians shall be filled with swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they stand.
→ Car si tu ne laisses pas aller mon peuple, voici, je m'en vais envoyer contre toi, contre tes serviteurs, contre ton peuple, et contre tes maisons, un mélange d'insectes; et les maisons des Egyptiens seront remplies de ce mélange, et la terre aussi sur laquelle ils seront. فانه ان كنت لا تطلق شعبي ها انا ارسل عليك وعلى عبيدك وعلى شعبك وعلى بيوتك الذبّان. فتمتلئ بيوت المصريين ذبّانا. وايضا الارض التي هم عليها

But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there, that you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.
→Mais je distinguerai en ce jour-là le pays de Goscen, où se tient mon peuple, tellement qu'il n'y aura nul mélange d'insectes, afin que tu saches que je [suis] l'Eternel au milieu de la terre. ولكن أميّز في ذلك اليوم ارض جاسان حيث شعبي مقيم حتى لا يكون هناك ذبّان. لكي تعلم اني انا الرب في الارض

Thus I will put a division between my people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall happen.
→Et je mettrai de la différence entre ton peuple et mon peuple; demain ce signe-là se fera. واجعل فرقا بين شعبي وشعبك. غدا تكون هذه الآية

And the LORD did so. There came great swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh and into his servants’ houses. Throughout all the land of Egypt the land was ruined by the swarms of flies.
→Et l'Eternel [le] fit ainsi; et un grand mélange d'insectes entra dans la maison de Pharaon, et dans chaque maison de ses serviteurs, et dans tout le pays d'Egypte, [de sorte que] la terre fut gâtée par ce mélange.ففعل الرب هكذا. فدخلت ذبان كثيرة الى بيت فرعون وبيوت عبيده وفي كل ارض مصر خربت الارض من الذبّان

Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.”
→Et Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron, et [leur] dit : allez, sacrifiez à votre Dieu dans ce pays. فدعا فرعون موسى وهرون وقال اذهبوا اذبحوا لالهكم في هذه الارض

But Moses said, “It would not be right to do so, for the offerings we shall sacrifice to the LORD our God are an abomination to the Egyptians. If we sacrifice offerings abominable to the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not stone us?
→Mais Moïse dit : il n'est pas à propos de faire ainsi; car nous sacrifierions à l'Eternel notre Dieu l'abomination des Egyptiens. Voici, si nous sacrifions l'abomination des Égyptiens devant leurs yeux, ne nous lapideraient-ils pas? 26فقال موسى لا يصلح ان نفعل هكذا. لاننا انما نذبح رجس المصريين للرب الهنا. ان ذبحنا رجس المصريين امام عيونهم أفلا يرجموننا

We must go three days’ journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God as he tells us.”
→ نذهب سفر ثلاثة ايام في البرية ونذبح للرب الهنا كما يقول لن

So Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you must not go very far away. Plead for me.”
→Alors Pharaon dit : je vous laisserai aller pour sacrifier dans le désert à l'Eternel votre Dieu; toutefois vous ne vous éloignerez nullement en vous en allant. Fléchissez [l'Eternel] pour moi par vos prières. فقال فرعون انا اطلقكم لتذبحوا للرب الهكم في البرية ولكن لا تذهبوا بعيدا. صلّيا لاجلي

Then Moses said, “Behold, I am going out from you and I will plead with the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow. Only let not Pharaoh cheat again by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.”
→Et Moïse dit : voici, je sors d'avec toi, et je fléchirai par prières l'Eternel, afin que le mélange d'insectes se retire demain de Pharaon, de ses serviteurs, et de son peuple. Mais que Pharaon ne continue point à se moquer, en ne laissant point aller le peuple pour sacrifier à l'Eternel.فقال موسى ها انا اخرج من لدنك واصلي الى الرب. فترتفع الذبان عن فرعون وعبيده وشعبه غدا. ولكن لا يعد فرعون يخاتل حتى لا يطلق الشعب ليذبح للرب

So Moses went out from Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD.
→Alors Moïse sortit d'avec Pharaon, et fléchit l'Eternel par prières. فخرج موسى من لدن فرعون وصلى الى الرب

And the LORD did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; not one remained.
→ Et l'Eternel fit selon la parole de Moïse; et le mélange d'insectes se retira de Pharaon, et de ses serviteurs, et de son peuple; il ne resta pas un seul [insecte]. ففعل الرب كقول موسى. فارتفع الذبان عن فرعون وعبيده وشعبه. لم تبق واحدة

But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and did not let the people go.
→Mais Pharaon endurcit son cœur encore cette fois, et ne laissa point aller le peuple.ولكن اغلظ فرعون قلبه هذه المرة ايضا فلم يطلق الشعب

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, “Let my people go, that they may serve me
→Alors l'Eternel dit à Moïse : va vers Pharaon, et lui dis : ainsi a dit l'Eternel, le Dieu des Hébreux : laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'ils me servent.ثم قال الرب لموسى ادخل الى فرعون وقل له هكذا يقول الرب اله العبرانيين اطلق شعبي ليعبدوني

For if you refuse to let them go and still hold them,
→Car si tu refuses de [les] laisser aller, et si tu les retiens encore, فانه ان كنت تأبى ان تطلقهم وكنت تمسكهم بعد

behold, the hand of the LORD will fall with a very severe plague upon your livestock that are in the field, the horses, the donkeys, the camels, the herds, and the flocks.
→Voici, la main de l'Eternel sera sur ton bétail qui est aux champs, tant sur les chevaux, que sur les ânes, sur les chameaux, sur les bœufs, et sur les brebis, et il y aura une très-grande mortalité. فها يد الرب تكون على مواشيك التي في الحقل على الخيل والحمير والجمال والبقر والغنم وبأ ثقيلا جد

But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that nothing of all that belongs to the people of Israel shall die.
→ويميّز الرب بين مواشي اسرائيل ومواشي المصريين. فلا يموت من كل ما لبني اسرائيل شيء

And the LORD set a time, saying, “Tomorrow the LORD will do this thing in the land.”
→ Et l'Eternel assigna un terme, en disant : demain l'Eternel fera ceci dans le pays. وعيّن الرب وقتا قائلا غدا يفعل الرب هذا الامر في الارض

And the next day the LORD did this thing. All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one of the livestock of the people of Israel died.
→L'Eternel donc fit cela dès le lendemain; et tout le bétail des Egyptiens mourut. Mais du bétail des enfants d'Israël, il n'en mourut pas une seule [bête]. ففعل الرب هذا الامر في الغد. فماتت جميع مواشي المصريين. واما مواشي بني اسرائيل فلم يمت منها واحد

And Pharaoh sent, and behold, not one of the livestock of Israel was dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
→ Et Pharaon envoya [examiner], et voici, il n'y avait pas une seule [bête] morte du bétail des enfants d'Israël. Toutefois le cœur de Pharaon s'endurcit; et il ne laissa point aller le peuple.ثم قال الرب لموسى وهرون خذا ملء ايديكما من رماد الأتون. وليذرّه موسى نحو السماء امام عيني فرعون

And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Take handfuls of soot from the kiln, and let Moses throw them in the air in the sight of Pharaoh.
→ Alors l'Eternel dit à Moïse et à Aaron : prenez plein vos mains de cendres de fournaise; et que Moïse les répande vers les cieux en la présence de Pharaon. ثم قال الرب لموسى وهرون خذا ملء ايديكما من رماد الأتون. وليذرّه موسى نحو السماء امام عيني فرعون

It shall become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast throughout all the land of Egypt.”
→Et elles deviendront de la poussière sur tout le pays d'Egypte, et il s'en fera des ulcères bourgeonnant en pustules tant sur les hommes que sur les bêtes, dans tout le pays d'Egypte. ليصير غبارا على كل ارض مصر. فيصير على الناس وعلى البهائم دمامل طالعة ببثور في كل ارض مصر

So they took soot from the kiln and stood before Pharaoh. And Moses threw it in the air, and it became boils breaking out in sores on man and beast.
→Ils prirent donc de la cendre de fournaise, et se tinrent devant Pharaon; et Moïse la répandit vers les cieux; et il s'en forma des ulcères bourgeonnant en pustules, tant aux hommes qu'aux bêtes. فأخذا رماد الأتون ووقفا امام فرعون وذراه موسى نحو السماء. فصار دمامل بثور طالعة في الناس وفي البهائم

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils came upon the magicians and upon all the Egyptians.
→Et les magiciens ne purent se tenir devant Moïse, à cause des ulcères; car les magiciens avaient des ulcères, comme tous les Egyptiens. ولم يستطع العرافون ان يقفوا امام موسى من اجل الدمامل. لان الدمامل كانت في العرافين وفي كل المصريين

But the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had spoken to Moses.
→Et l'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, et il ne les écouta point selon que l'Eternel en avait parlé à Moïse.ولكن شدّد الرب قلب فرعون فلم يسمع لهما كما كلم الرب موسى

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
→ Puis l'Eternel dit à Moïse : lève-toi de bon matin, et te présente devant Pharaon, et lui dit : ainsi a dit l'Eternel, le Dieu des Hébreux : laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu'ils me servent. ثم قال الرب لموسى بكر في الصباح وقف امام فرعون وقل له هكذا يقول الرب اله العبرانيين أطلق شعبي ليعبدوني

For this time I will send all my plagues on yourself, on your servants and on your people, so that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
→Car à cette fois je vais faire venir toutes mes plaies dans ton cœur; et sur tes serviteurs, et sur ton peuple; afin que tu saches qu'il n'y a nul [Dieu] semblable à moi en toute la terre. لاني هذه المرة ارسل جميع ضرباتي الى قلبك وعلى عبيدك وشعبك لكي تعرف ان ليس مثلي في كل الارض

For by now I could have put out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.
→Car maintenant si j'étends ma main, je te frappe de mortalité, toi et ton peuple, et tu seras effacé de la terre.فانه الآن لو كنت امد يدي واضربك وشعبك بالوبإ لكنت تباد من الارض

But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.
→ Mais certainement je t'ai fait subsister pour ceci, afin de faire voir en toi ma puissance, et afin que mon nom soit célébré par toute la terre. ولكن لاجل هذا اقمتك لكي اريك قوّتي ولكي يخبر باسمي في كل الارض

You are still exalting yourself against my people and will not let them go.
→T'élèves-tu encore contre mon peuple, pour ne le laisser point aller?انت معاند بعد لشعبي حتى لا تطلقه

Behold, about this time tomorrow I will cause very heavy hail to fall, such as never has been in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.
→Voici, je m'en vais faire pleuvoir demain à cette même heure une grosse grêle, à laquelle il n'y en a point eu de semblable en Egypte, depuis le jour qu'elle a été fondée jusques à maintenant. ها انا غدا مثل الآن امطر بردا عظيما جدا لم يكن مثله في مصر منذ يوم تاسيسها الى الآن

Now therefore send, get your livestock and all that you have in the field into safe shelter, for every man and beast that is in the field and is not brought home will die when the hail falls on them.
→19فالآن أرسل احم مواشيك وكل ما لك في الحقل. جميع الناس والبهائم الذين يوجدون في الحقل ولا يجمعون الى البيوت ينزل عليهم البرد فيموتون

Then whoever feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh hurried his slaves and his livestock into the houses,
→Celui des serviteurs de Pharaon, qui craignit la parole de l'Eternel, fit promptement retirer dans les maisons ses serviteurs et ses bêtes. فالذي خاف كلمة الرب من عبيد فرعون هرب بعبيده ومواشيه الى البيوت

but whoever did not pay attention to the word of the LORD left his slaves and his livestock in the field.
→Mais celui qui n'appliqua point son cœur à la parole de l'Eternel, laissa ses serviteurs et ses bêtes à la campagne.واما الذي لم يوجّه قلبه الى كلمة الرب فترك عبيده ومواشيه في الحقل

Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : étends ta main vers les cieux, et il y aura de la grêle en tout le pays d'Egypte, sur les hommes, et sur les bêtes, et sur toutes les herbes des champs au pays d'Egypte.
→וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה נְטֵ֤ה אֶת־יָֽדְךָ֙ עַל־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וִיהִ֥י בָרָ֖ד בְּכָל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם עַל־הָאָדָ֣ם וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֗ה וְעַ֛ל כָּל־עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ثم قال الرب لموسى مدّ يدك نحو السماء ليكون برد في كل ارض مصر على الناس وعلى البهائم وعلى كل عشب الحقل في ارض مصر

Then Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
→ Moïse donc étendit sa verge vers les cieux, et l'Eternel envoya des tonnerres et de la grêle, et le feu se promenait sur la terre. L'Eternel fit donc pleuvoir de la grêle sur le pays d'Egypte. فكان برد ونار متواصلة في وسط البرد. شيء عظيم جدا لم يكن مثله في كل ارض مصر منذ صارت امة

There was hail and fire flashing continually in the midst of the hail, very heavy hail, such as had never been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
→ Il y eut donc de la grêle et du feu entremêlé avec la grêle, laquelle était si grosse qu'il n'y en avait point eu de semblable en toute la terre d'Egypte, depuis qu'elle a été habitée.فضرب البرد في كل ارض مصر جميع ما في الحقل من الناس والبهائم. وضرب البرد جميع عشب الحقل وكسر جميع شجر الحقل

The hail struck down everything that was in the field in all the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And the hail struck down every plant of the field and broke every tree of the field.
→Et la grêle frappa dans tout le pays d'Egypte tout ce qui était aux champs, depuis les hommes jusqu'aux bêtes. La grêle frappa aussi toutes les herbes des champs, et brisa tous les arbres des champs. فضرب البرد في كل ارض مصر جميع ما في الحقل من الناس والبهائموضرب البرد جميع عشب الحقل وكسر جميع شجر الحقل

Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, was there no hail.
→ Il n'y eut que la contrée de Goscen, dans laquelle étaient les enfants d'Israël, [où] il n'y eut point de grêle.الا ارض جاسان حيث كان بنو اسرائيل فلم يكن فيها برد

Then Pharaoh sent and called Moses and Aaron and said to them, “This time I have sinned; the LORD is in the right, andI and my people are in the wrong.
→Alors Pharaon envoya appeler Moïse et Aaron, et leur dit : J'ai péché cette fois; l'Eternel est juste, mais moi et mon peuple sommes méchants.فارسل فرعون ودعا موسى وهرون وقال لهما اخطأت هذه المرّة. الرب هو البار وانا وشعبي الاشرار

Plead with the LORD, for there has been enough of God’s thunder and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
→Fléchissez par prières l'Eternel; que ce [soit] assez; [et] que Dieu ne fasse plus tonner ni grêler, car je vous laisserai aller, et on ne vous arrêtera plus. صليّا الى الرب وكفى حدوث رعود الله والبرد فاطلقكم ولا تعودوا تلبثون

Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will stretch out my hands to the LORD. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.
→ فقال له موسى عند خروجي من المدينة ابسط يديّ الى الرب فتنقطع الرعود ولا يكون البرد ايضا لكي تعرف ان للرب الارض

But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the LORD God.
→Mais quant à toi et à tes serviteurs, je sais que vous ne craindrez pas encore l'Eternel Dieu. واما انت وعبيدك فانا اعلم انكم لم تخشوا بعد من الرب الاله

The flax and the barley were struck down, for the barley was in the ear and the flax was in bud.
→Or le lin et l'orge avaient été frappés, car l'orge était en épis et le lin était en tuyau. فالكتان والشعير ضربا. لان الشعير كان مسبلا والكتان مبزر

But the wheat and the emmerb were not struck down, for they are late in coming up.
→Mais le blé et l'épeautre ne furent point frappés, parce qu'ils étaient cachés. واما الحنطة والقطاني فلم تضرب لانها كانت متأخرة

So Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and stretched out his hands to the LORD, and the thunder and the hail ceased, and the rain no longer poured upon the earth.
→Moïse donc étant sorti d'avec Pharaon hors de la ville étendit ses mains vers l'Eternel, et les tonnerres cessèrent, et la grêle et la pluie ne tombèrent plus sur la terre. فخرج موسى من المدينة من لدن فرعون وبسط يديه الى الرب. فانقطعت الرعود والبرد ولم ينصبّ المطر على الارض

But when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunder had ceased, he sinned yet again and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
→Et Pharaon voyant que la pluie, la grêle, et les tonnerres avaient cessé, continua encore à pécher, et il endurcit son cœur, lui et ses serviteurs. ولكن فرعون لما رأى ان المطر والبرد والرعود انقطعت عاد يخطئ واغلظ قلبه هو وعبيده

So the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people of Israel go, just as the LORD had spoken through Moses.
→Le cœur donc de Pharaon s'endurcit, et il ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël; selon que l'Eternel [en] avait parlé par le moyen de Moïse.فاشتدّ قلب فرعون فلم يطلق بني اسرائيل كما تكلم الرب عن يد موسى

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these signs of mine among them,
→Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : va vers Pharaon, car j'ai endurci son cœur, et le cœur de ses serviteurs, afin que je mette au-dedans de lui les signes que je m'en vais faire. ثم قال الرب لموسى ادخل الى فرعون. فاني اغلظت قلبه وقلوب عبيده لكي اصنع آياتي هذه بينهم

and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, that you may know that I am the LORD.”
→Et afin que tu racontes, ton fils et le fils de ton fils l'entendant, ce que j'aurai fait en Egypte, et mes signes que j'aurai faits entre eux; et vous saurez que je [suis] l'Eternel.ولكي تخبر في مسامع ابنك وابن ابنك بما فعلته في مصر وبآياتي التي صنعتها بينهم. فتعلمون اني انا الرب

So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.
→Moïse donc et Aaron vinrent vers Pharaon, et lui dirent : ainsi a dit l'Eternel le Dieu des Hébreux : jusques à quand refuseras-tu de t'humilier devant ma face? Laisse aller mon peuple afin qu'ils me servent. فدخل موسى وهرون الى فرعون وقالا له هكذا يقول الرب اله العبرانيين الى متى تأبى ان تخضع لي. اطلق شعبي ليعبدوني

For if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,
→ Car si tu refuses de laisser aller mon peuple, voici, je m'en vais faire venir demain des sauterelles en tes contrées فانه ان كنت تأبى ان تطلق شعبي ها انا اجيء غدا بجراد على تخومك

and they shall cover the face of the land, so that no one can see the land. And they shall eat what is left to you after the hail, and they shall eat every tree of yours that grows in the field,
→Qui couvriront toute la face de la terre, tellement qu'on ne pourra voir la terre : et qui brouteront le reste de ce qui est échappé, que la grêle vous a laissé; et brouteront tous les arbres qui poussent dans les champs. فيغطي وجه الارض حتى لا يستطاع نظر الارض. ويأكل الفضلة السالمة الباقية لكم من البرد. ويأكل جميع الشجر النابت لكم من الحقل

and they shall fill your houses and the houses of all your servants and of all the Egyptians, as neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen, from the day they came on earth to this day.’” Then he turned and went out from Pharaoh.
→Et elles rempliront tes maisons, et les maisons de tous tes serviteurs; et les maisons de tous les Egyptiens; ce que tes pères n'ont point vu, ni les pères de tes pères, depuis le jour qu'ils ont été sur la terre, jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Puis ayant tourné le dos à Pharaon, il sortit d'auprès de lui. ويملأ بيوتك وبيوت جميع عبيدك وبيوت جميع المصريين. الامر الذي لم يره آباؤك ولا آباء آبائك منذ يوم وجدوا على الارض الى هذا اليوم. ثم تحوّل وخرج من لدن فرعون

Then Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God. Do you not yet understand that Egypt is ruined?”
→Et les serviteurs de Pharaon lui dirent : jusqu'à quand celui-ci nous tiendra-t-il enlacés? Laisse aller ces gens, et qu'ils servent l'Eternel leur Dieu. [Attendras-]tu de savoir avant cela que l'Egypte est perdue? فقال عبيد فرعون له الى متى يكون هذا لنا فخّا. اطلق الرجال ليعبدوا الرب الههم. ألم تعلم بعد ان مصر قد خربت

So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. And he said to them, “Go, serve the LORD your God. But which ones are to go?”
→Alors on fit revenir Moïse et Aaron vers Pharaon ; et il leur dit : allez, servez l'Eternel votre Dieu. Qui sont tous ceux qui iront? فرد موسى وهرون الى فرعون. فقال لهما اذهبوا اعبدوا الرب الهكم ولكن من ومن هم الذين يذهبون

Moses said, “We will go with our young and our old. We will go with our sons and daughters and with our flocks and herds, for we must hold a feast to the LORD.”
→Et Moïse répondit : nous irons avec nos jeunes gens et nos vieillards, avec nos fils et nos filles, avec notre menu et gros bétail; car nous avons [à célébrer] une fête solennelle à l'Eternel. فقال موسى نذهب بفتياننا وشيوخنا. نذهب ببنينا وبناتنا بغنمنا وبقرنا. لان لنا عيدا للرب

But he said to them, “The LORD be with you, if ever I let you and your little ones go! Look, you have some evil purpose in mind.
→Alors il leur dit : que l'Eternel soit avec vous, comme je laisserai aller vos petits enfants; prenez garde, car le mal est devant vous. فقال لهما يكون الرب معكم هكذا كما أطلقكم واولادكم. انظروا. ان قدام وجوهكم شر

No! Go, the men among you, and serve the LORD, for that is what you are asking.” And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.
→Il n'en sera [donc] pas ainsi [que vous l'avez demandé], mais vous hommes, allez maintenant, et servez l'Eternel; car c'est ce que vous demandez. Et on les chassa de devant Pharaon.ليس هكذا. اذهبوا انتم الرجال واعبدوا الرب. لانكم لهذا طالبون. فطردا من لدن فرعون

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, so that they may come upon the land of Egypt and eat every plant in the land, all that the hail has left.”
→ Alors l'Eternel dit à Moïse : étends ta main sur le pays d'Egypte [pour faire] venir les sauterelles, afin qu'elles montent sur le pays d'Egypte, et qu'elles broutent toute l'herbe de la terre, et tout ce que la grêle a laissé de reste. ثم قال الرب لموسى مدّ يدك على ارض مصر لاجل الجراد. ليصعد على ارض مصر وياكل كل عشب الارض كل ما تركه البرد

So Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night. When it was morning, the east wind had brought the locusts.
→ Moïse donc étendit sa verge sur le pays d'Egypte, et l'Eternelamena sur la terre un vent Oriental tout ce jour-là et toute la nuit; [et] au matin le vent Oriental eut enlevé les sauterelles.فمدّ موسى عصاه على ارض مصر. فجلب الرب على الارض ريحا شرقية كل ذلك النهار وكل الليل. ولما كان الصباح حملت الريح الشرقية الجراد

The locusts came up over all the land of Egypt and settled on the whole country of Egypt, such a dense swarm of locusts as had never been before, nor ever will be again.
→ Et il fit monter les sauterelles sur tout le pays d'Egypte, et les mit dans toutes les contrées d'Egypte, elles étaient fort grosses, et il n'y en avait point eu de semblables avant elles, et il n'y en aura point de semblables après elles. فصعد الجراد على كل ارض مصر وحلّ في جميع تخوم مصر. شيء ثقيل جدا لم يكن قبله جراد هكذا مثله ولا يكون بعده كذلك

حتى اظلمت الارض. واكل جميع عشب الارض وجميع ثمر الشجر الذي تركه البرد. حتى لم يبق شيء اخضر في الشجر ولا في عشب الحقل في كل ارض مصر
→Et elles couvrirent la face de tout le pays, tellement que la terre en fut couverte; et elles broutèrent toute l'herbe de la terre, et tout le fruit des arbres que la grêle avait laissé, et il ne demeura aucune verdure aux arbres, ni aux herbes des champs, dans tout le pays d'Egypte.

Now therefore, forgive my sin, please, only this once, and plead with the LORD your God only to remove this death from me.” So he went out from Pharaoh and pleaded with the LORD.
→Alors Pharaon fit appeler en toute diligence Moïse et Aaron, et [leur] dit : j'ai péché contre l'Eternel votre Dieu, et contre vous.فدعا فرعون موسى وهرون مسرعا وقال اخطأت الى الرب الهكما واليكم

Now therefore, forgive my sin, please, only this once, and plead with the LORD your God only to remove this death from me.”
→Mais maintenant, je te prie, pardonne-moi mon péché, seulement pour cette fois; et fléchissez l'Eternel votre Dieu par prières, afin qu'il retire de moi cette mort-ci seulement. والآن اصفحا عن خطيتي هذه المرّة فقط. وصليّا الى الرب الهكما ليرفع عني هذا الموت فقط

So he went out from Pharaoh and pleaded with the LORD.
→فخرج موسى من لدن فرعون وصلى الى الرب

And the LORD turned the wind into a very strong west wind, which lifted the locusts and drove them into the Red Sea. Not a single locust was left in all the country of Egypt.
→Et l'Eternel fit lever à l'opposite un vent très-fort de l'Occident, qui enleva les sauterelles, et les enfonça dans la mer rouge. Il ne resta pas une seule sauterelle dans toutes les contrées d'Egypte. فرد الرب ريحا غربية شديدة جدا. فحملت الجراد وطرحته الى بحر سوف. لم تبق جرادة واحدة في كل تخوم مصر

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go.
→Mais l'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, et il ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël.ولكن شدد الرب قلب فرعون فلم يطلق بني اسرائيل

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness to be felt.”
→Puis l'Eternel dit à Moïse : Etends ta main vers les cieux, et qu'il y ait sur le pays d'Egypte des ténèbres [si épaisses], qu'on les puisse toucher à la main. ثم قال الرب لموسى مدّ يدك نحو السماء ليكون ظلام على ارض مصر. حتى يلمس الظلام

So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was pitch darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.
→Moïse donc étendit sa main vers les cieux ; et il y eut des ténèbres fort obscures en tout le pays d'Egypte durant trois jours. فمدّ موسى يده نحو السماء فكان ظلام دامس في كل ارض مصر ثلاثة ايام

They did not see one another, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days, but all the people of Israel had light where they lived.
→ L'on ne se voyait pas l'un l'autre, et nul ne se leva du lieu où il était pendant trois jours; mais il y eut de la lumière pour les enfants d'Israël dans le lieu de leurs demeures. لم يبصر احد اخاه ولا قام احد من مكانه ثلاثة ايام. ولكن جميع بني اسرائيل كان لهم نور في مساكنهم

Then Pharaoh called Moses and said, “Go, serve the LORD; your little ones also may go with you; only let your flocks and your herds remain behind.”
→Alors Pharaon appela Moïse, et lui dit : allez, servez l'Eternel; seulement que votre menu et gros bétail demeurent; même vos petits enfants iront avec vous. فدعا فرعون موسى وقال اذهبوا اعبدوا الرب. غير ان غنمكم وبقركم تبقى. اولادكم ايضا تذهب معكم

But Moses said, “You must also let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
→Mais Moïse répondit : tu nous laisseras aussi amener les sacrifices et les holocaustes que nous ferons à l'Eternel notre Dieu. فقال موسى انت تعطي ايضا في ايدينا ذبائح ومحرقات لنصنعها للرب الهن

Our livestock also must go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind, for we must take of them to serve the LORD our God, and we do not know with what we must serve the LORD until we arrive there.”
→Et même nos troupeaux viendront avec nous, sans qu'il en demeure un ongle; car nous en prendrons pour servir à l'Eternel notre Dieu; et nous ne savons pas ce que nous offrirons à l'Eternel, jusques à ce que nous soyons parvenus en ce lieu-là. فتذهب مواشينا ايضا معنا. لا يبقى ظلف. لاننا منها نأخذ لعبادة الرب الهنا. ونحن لا نعرف بماذا نعبد الرب حتى نأتي الى هناك

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.
→ولكن شدّد الرب قلب فرعون فلم يشأ ان يطلقهم

Then Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me; take care never to see my face again, for on the day you see my face you shall die.”
→Et Pharaon lui dit : va-t'en arrière de moi; donne-toi de garde de voir plus ma face; car au jour où tu verras ma face, tu mourras. وقال له فرعون اذهب عني. احترز. لا تر وجهي ايضا. انك يوم ترى وجهي تموت

Moses said, “As you say! I will not see your face again.”
→ Et Moïse répondit : tu as bien dit; je ne verrai plus ta face.فقال موسى نعما قلت. انا لا اعود ارى وجهك ايض

The LORD said to Moses, “Yet one plague more I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will drive you away completely.
→Or l'Eternel avait dit à Moïse, je ferai venir encore une plaie sur Pharaon, et sur l'Egypte, et après cela il vous laissera aller d'ici, il vous laissera entièrement aller, et vous chassera tout à fait. ثم قال الرب لموسى ضربة واحدة ايضا اجلب على فرعون وعلى مصر. بعد ذلك يطلقكم من هنا. وعندما يطلقكم يطردكم طردا من هنا بالتمام

Speak now in the hearing of the people, that they ask, every man of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor, for silver and gold jewelry.”
→Parle maintenant, le peuple l'entendant, et [leur dis] : que chacun demande à son voisin, et chacune à sa voisine, des vaisseaux d'argent, et des vaisseaux d'or. تكلم في مسامع الشعب ان يطلب كل رجل من صاحبه وكل امرأة من صاحبتها امتعة فضة وامتعة ذهب

And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people.
→Or l'Eternel avait fait trouver grâce au peuple devant les Egyptiens; et même Moïse passait pour un fort grand homme au pays d'Egypte, tant parmi les serviteurs de Pharaon, que parmi le peuple.واعطى الرب نعمة للشعب في عيون المصريين. وايضا الرجل موسى كان عظيما جدا في ارض مصر في عيون عبيد فرعون وعيون الشعب

So Moses said, “Thus says the LORD: ‘About midnight I will go out in the midst of Egypt,
→Et Moïse dit : ainsi a dit l'Eternel : environ sur la minuit je passerai au travers de l'Egypte. وقال موسى هكذا يقول الرب اني نحو نصف الليل اخرج في وسط مصر

and every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the handmill, and allthe firstborn of the cattle.
→Et tout premier-né mourra au pays d'Egypte, depuis le premier-né de Pharaon, qui devait être assis sur son trône, jusqu'au premier-né de la servante qui est employée à moudre; même tout premier-né des bêtes. فيموت كل بكر في ارض مصر من بكر فرعون الجالس على كرسيه الى بكر الجارية التي خلف الرحى وكل بكر بهيمة

There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever will be again.
→ Et il y aura un si grand cri dans tout le pays d'Egypte, qu'il n'y en eut jamais, ni il n'y en aura jamais de semblable. ويكون صراخ عظيم في كل ارض مصر لم يكن مثله ولا يكون مثله ايض



But not a dog shall growl against any of the people of Israel, either man or beast, that you may know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.’
→Mais contre tous les enfants d'Israël un chien même ne remuera point sa langue, depuis l'homme jusques aux bêtes; afin que vous sachiez que Dieu aura mis de la différence entre les Egyptiens et les Israélites. ولكن جميع بني اسرائيل لا يسنن كلب لسانه اليهم لا الى الناس ولا الى البهائم. لكي تعلموا ان الرب يميّز بين المصريين واسرائيل

And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down to me, saying, ‘Get out, you and all the people who follow you.’ And after that I will go out.” And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.
→Et tous ces tiens serviteurs viendront vers moi, et se prosterneront devant moi, en disant : sors, toi, et tout le peuple qui [est] avec toi; et puis je sortirai. Ainsi Moïse sortit d'auprès de Pharaon dans une ardente colère.فينزل اليّ جميع عبيدك هؤلاء ويسجدون لي قائلين اخرج انت وجميع الشعب الذين في اثرك. وبعد ذلك اخرج. ثم خرج من لدن فرعون في حموّ الغضب

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
→L'Eternel donc avait dit à Moïse : Pharaon ne vous écoutera point, afin que mes miracles soient multipliés au pays d'Egypte. وقال الرب لموسى لا يسمع لكما فرعون لكي تكثر عجائبي في ارض مصر

Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, and the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go out of his land.
→Et Moïse et Aaron firent tous ces miracles-là devant Pharaon. Et l'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon, tellement qu'il ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël hors de son pays.وكان موسى وهرون يفعلان كل هذه العجائب امام فرعون. ولكن شدّد الرب قلب فرعون فلم يطلق بني اسرائيل من ارضه

The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,
→Or l'Eternel avait parlé à Moïse et à Aaron au pays d'Egypte, en disant : وكلم الرب موسى وهرون في ارض مصر قائل

“This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.
→Ce mois-ci vous sera le commencement des mois, il vous sera le premier des mois de l'année. هذا الشهر يكون لكم راس الشهور. هو لكم اول شهور السنة

Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household.
→Parlez à toute l'assemblée d'Israël, en disant : qu'au dixième [jour] de ce mois, chacun d'eux prenne un petit d'entre les brebis ou d'entre les chèvres, selon les familles des pères, un petit, [dis-je], d'entre les brebis ou d'entre les chèvres, par famille. كلّما كل جماعة اسرائيل قائلين في العاشر من هذا الشهر يأخذون لهم كل واحد شاة بحسب بيوت الآباء شاة للبيت

And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb.
→ Mais si la famille est moindre qu'il ne faut pour [manger] un petit d'entre les brebis ou d'entre les chèvres, qu'il prenne son voisin qui est près de sa maison, selon le nombre des personnes; vous compterez combien il en faudra pour manger un petit d'entre les brebis ou d'entre les chèvres, ayant égard à ce que chacun de vous peut manger. وان كان البيت صغيرا عن ان يكون كفوا لشاة يأخذ هو وجاره القريب من بيته بحسب عدد النفوس. كل واحد على حسب اكله تحسبون للشاة

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,
→Or le petit d'entre les brebis ou d'entre les chèvres sera sans tare, [et sera un] mâle, ayant un an; vous le prendrez d'entre les brebis, ou d'entre les chèvres. تكون لكم شاة صحيحة ذكرا ابن سنة. تأخذونه من الخرفان او من المواعز

and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight.
→Et vous le tiendrez en garde jusqu'au quatorzième jour de ce mois, et toute la congrégation de l'assemblée d'Israël l'égorgera entre les deux vêpres. ويكون عندكم تحت الحفظ الى اليوم الرابع عشر من هذا الشهر. ثم يذبحه كل جمهور جماعة اسرائيل في العشية

“Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.
→Et ils prendront de son sang, et le mettront sur les deux poteaux, et sur le linteau de la porte des maisons où ils le mangeront. ويأخذون من الدم ويجعلونه على القائمتين والعتبة العليا في البيوت التي يأكلونه فيه

They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; withunleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.
→ Et ils en mangeront la chair rôtie au feu cette nuit-là; et ils la mangeront avec des pains sans levain, [et] avec des herbes amères. ويأكلون اللحم تلك الليلة مشويا بالنار مع فطير. على اعشاب مرّة ياكلونه

Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts.
→ N'en mangez rien à demi cuit, ni qui ait été bouilli dans l'eau, mais qu'il soit rôti au feu, sa tête, ses jambes, et ses entrailles. لا تأكلوا منه نيئا او طبيخا مطبوخا بالماء بل مشويا بالنار. راسه مع اكارعه وجوفه

And you shall let none of it remain until the morning; anything that remains until the morning you shall burn.
→ Et n'en laissez rien de reste jusqu'au matin, mais s'il en reste quelque chose jusqu'au matin, vous le brûlerez au feu. ولا تبقوا منه الى الصباح. والباقي منه الى الصباح تحرقونه بالنار

In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.
→Et vous le mangerez ainsi; vos reins seront ceints, vous aurez vos souliers en vos pieds, et votre bâton en votre main, et vous le mangerez à la hâte. C'est la Pâque de l'Eternel. وهكذا تأكلونه احقاؤكم مشدودة واحذيتكم في ارجلكم وعصيّكم في ايديكم. وتاكلونه بعجلة. هو فصح للرب

For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.
→Car je passerai cette nuit-là par le pays d'Egypte, et je frapperai tout premier-né au pays d'Egypte, depuis les hommes jusques aux bêtes, et j'exercerai des jugements, sur tous les dieux de l'Egypte; je suis l'Eternel. فاني اجتاز في ارض مصر هذه الليلة واضرب كل بكر في ارض مصر من الناس والبهائم. واصنع احكاما بكل آلهة المصريين. انا الرب

The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
→ Et le sang vous sera pour signe sur les maisons dans lesquelles vous serez, car je verrai le sang, et je passerai par-dessus vous, et il n'y aura point de plaie à destruction parmi vous, quand je frapperai le pays d'Egypte.13ويكون لكم الدم علامة على البيوت التي انتم فيها. فأرى الدم واعبر عنكم. فلا يكون عليكم ضربة للهلاك حين اضرب ارض مصر

This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast.
→Et ce jour-là vous sera en mémorial, et vous le célébrerez comme une fête solennelle à l'Eternel en vos âges; vous le célébrerez comme une fête solennelle, par ordonnance perpétuelle. ويكون لكم هذا اليوم تذكارا فتعيّدونه عيدا للرب. في اجيالكم تعيّدونه فريضة ابدية

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first dayyou shall remove leaven out of your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.
→Vous mangerez pendant sept jours des pains sans levain, et dès le premier jour vous ôterez le levain de vos maisons; car quiconque mangera du pain levé, depuis le premier jour jusques au septième, cette personne-là sera retranchée d'Israël. سبعة ايام تأكلون فطيرا. اليوم الاول تعزلون الخمير من بيوتكم. فان كل من اكل خميرا من اليوم الاول الى اليوم السابع تقطع تلك النفس من اسرائيل

On the first day you shall hold a holy assembly, and on the seventh day a holy assembly. No work shall be done on those days. But what everyone needs to eat, that alone may be prepared by you.
→Au premier jour il y aura une sainte convocation, et il y aura de même au septième jour une sainte convocation ; il ne se fera aucune œuvre en ces [jours-là]; seulement on vous apprêtera à manger ce qu'il faudra pour chaque personne. ويكون لكم في اليوم الاول محفل مقدس وفي اليوم السابع محفل مقدس. لا يعمل فيهما عمل ما الا ما تاكله كل نفس فذلك وحده يعمل منكم

And you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this very day I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day, throughout your generations, as a statute forever.
→Vous prendrez donc garde aux pains sans levain; parce qu'en ce même jour j'aurai retiré vos bandes du pays d'Egypte; vous observerez donc ce jour-là en vos âges, par ordonnance perpétuelle. وتحفظون الفطير لاني في هذا اليوم عينه اخرجت اجنادكم من ارض مصر. فتحفظون هذا اليوم في اجيالكم فريضة ابدية

In the first month, from the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.
→Au premier mois, le quatorzième jour du mois au soir, vous mangerez des pains sans levain, jusqu'au vingt-unième jour du mois, au soir. في الشهر الاول في اليوم الرابع عشر من الشهر مساء تاكلون فطيرا الى اليوم الحادي والعشرين من الشهر مساء

For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses. If anyone eats what is leavened, that person will be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a sojourner or a native of the land.
→Il ne se trouvera point de levain dans vos maisons pendantsept jours; car quiconque mangera du pain levé, cette personne-là sera retranchée de rassemblée d'Israël, tant celui qui habite comme étranger, que celui qui est né au pays. سبعة ايام لا يوجد خمير في بيوتكم. فان كل من اكل مختمرا تقطع تلك النفس من جماعة اسرائيل الغريب مع مولود الارض

You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwelling places you shall eat unleavened bread.”
→ Vous ne mangerez point de pain levé; [mais] vous mangerez dans tous les lieux où vous demeurerez, des pains sans levain.لا تأكلوا شيئا مختمرا في جميع مساكنكم تأكلون فطير

Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go and select lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and kill the Passover lamb.
→Moïse donc appela tous les anciens d'Israël, et leur dit : choisissez, et prenez un petit d'entre les brebis, ou d'entre les chèvres, selon vos familles, et égorgez la Pâque. فدعا موسى جميع شيوخ اسرائيل وقال لهم اسحبوا وخذوا لكم غنما بحسب عشائركم واذبحوا الفصح

Puis vous prendrez un bouquet d'hysope, et le tremperez dans le sang qui sera dans un bassin, et vous arroserez du sang qui sera dans le bassin, le linteau, et les deux poteaux; et nul de vous ne sortira de la porte de sa maison, jusqu'au matin.
→ и возьмите пучок иссопа, и обмочите в кровь, которая в сосуде, и помажьте перекладину и оба косяка дверей кровью, которая в сосуде; а вы никто не выходите за двери дома своего до утра.وخذوا باقة زوفا واغمسوها في الدم الذي في الطست ومسّوا العتبة العليا والقائمتين بالدم الذي في الطست. وانتم لا يخرج احد منكم من باب بيته حتى الصباح

For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.
→Car l'Eternel passera pour frapper l'Egypte, et il verra le sang sur le linteau, et sur les deux poteaux, et l'Eternel passera par-dessus la porte, et ne permettra point que le destructeur entre dans vos maisons pour frapper. فان الرب يجتاز ليضرب المصريين. فحين يرى الدم على العتبة العليا والقائمتين يعبر الرب عن الباب ولا يدع المهلك يدخل بيوتكم ليضرب

فتحفظون هذا الامر فريضة لك ولاولادك الى الابد
→Vous garderez ceci comme une ordonnance perpétuelle pour toi et pour tes enfants.

And when you come to the land that the LORD will give you, as he has promised, you shall keep this service.
→Quand donc vous serez entrés au pays que l'Eternel vous donnera, selon qu'il [en] a parlé, vous garderez ce service. ويكون حين تدخلون الارض التي يعطيكم الرب كما تكلم انكم تحفظون هذه الخدمة

Et quand vos enfants vous diront : que vous [signifie] ce service?
→И когда скажут вам дети ваши: что это за служение? ويكون حين يقول لكم اولادكم ما هذه الخدمة لكم

you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of the LORD’s Passover,for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people bowed their heads and worshiped.
→ Alors vous répondrez : c'est le sacrifice de la Pâque à l'Eternel, qui passa en Egypte par-dessus les maisons des enfants d'Israël, quand il frappa l'Egypte, et qu'il préserva nos maisons. Alors le peuple s'inclina, et se prosterna.انكم تقولون هي ذبيحة فصح للرب الذي عبر عن بيوت بني اسرائيل في مصر لما ضرب المصريين وخلّص بيوتنا. فخرّ الشعب وسجدو

Then the people of Israel went and did so; as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
→וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ׃ סومضى بنو اسرائيل وفعلوا كما امر الرب موسى وهرون. هكذا فعلوAinsi les enfants d'Israël s'en allèrent, et firent comme l'Eternel l'avait commandé à Moïse et à Aaron, ils le firent ainsi.

At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock.
→Et il arriva qu'à minuit l'Eternel frappa tous les premiers-nés du pays d'Egypte, depuis le premier-né de Pharaon, qui devait être assis sur son trône, jusqu'aux premiers-nés des captifs qui [étaient] dans la prison, et tous les premiers-nés des bêtes. فحدث في نصف الليل ان الرب ضرب كل بكر في ارض مصر من بكر فرعون الجالس على كرسيه الى بكر الاسير الذي في السجن وكل بكر بهيمة

And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians. And there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where someone was not dead.
→ Et Pharaon se leva de nuit, lui et ses serviteurs, et tous les Egyptiens; et il y eut un grand cri en Egypte, parce qu'il n'y avait point de maison où il n'y [eût] un mort.فقام فرعون ليلا هو وكل عبيده وجميع المصريين. وكان صراخ عظيم في مصر. لانه لم يكن بيت ليس فيه ميت

Then he summoned Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Up, go out from among my people, both you and the people of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said.
→Il appela donc Moïse et Aaron de nuit, et leur dit : levez-vous, sortez du milieu de mon peuple, tant vous que les enfants d'Israël, et vous en allez; servez l'Eternel, comme vous en avez parlé. فدعا موسى وهرون ليلا وقال قوموا اخرجوا من بين شعبي انتما وبنو اسرائيل جميعا. واذهبوا اعبدوا الرب كما تكلمتم

Take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone, and bless me also!”
→Prenez aussi votre menu et gros bétail, selon que vous en avez parlé, et vous en allez, et bénissez-moi.خذوا غنمكم ايضا وبقركم كما تكلمتم واذهبوا. وباركوني ايض

The Egyptians were urgent with the people to send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.”
→Et les Egyptiens forçaient le peuple, et se hâtaient de les faire sortir du pays; car ils disaient : nous sommes tous morts. والحّ المصريون على الشعب ليطلقوهم عاجلا من الارض. لانهم قالوا جميعنا اموات

So the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading bowls being bound up in their cloaks on their shoulders.
→Le peuple donc prit sa pâte avant qu'elle fût levée, ayant leurs maies liées avec leurs vêtements, sur leurs épaules.فحمل الشعب عجينهم قبل ان يختمر ومعاجنهم مصرورة في ثيابهم على اكتافهم

The people of Israel had also done as Moses told them, for they had asked the Egyptians for silver and gold jewelry and for clothing.
→Or les enfants d'Israël avaient fait selon la parole de Moïse, et avaient demandé aux Egyptiens des vaisseaux d'argent et d'or, et des vêtements. وفعل بنو اسرائيل بحسب قول موسى. طلبوا من المصريين امتعة فضة وامتعة ذهب وثياب

And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.
→Et l'Eternel avait fait trouver grâce au peuple envers les Egyptiens, qui les leur avaient prêtés; de sorte qu'ils butinèrent les Egyptiens.

And the people of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.
→Ainsi les enfants d'Israël étant partis de Rahmésès, vinrent à Succoth, environ six cent mille hommes de pied, sans les petits enfants. فارتحل بنو اسرائيل من رعمسيس الى سكوت نحو ست مئة الف ماش من الرجال عدا الاولاد

A mixed multitude also went up with them, and very much livestock, both flocks and herds.
→ Il s'en alla aussi avec eux un grand nombre de toutes sortes de gens; et du menu et du gros bétail en fort grands troupeaux. وصعد معهم لفيف كثير ايضا مع غنم وبقر مواش وافرة جد

And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough that they had brought out of Egypt, for it was not leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves.
→ Or parce qu'ils avaient été chassés d'Egypte, et qu'ils n'avaient pas pu tarder [plus longtemps], et que même ils n'avaient fait aucune provision, ils cuisirent par gâteaux sans levain la pâte qu'ils avaient emportée d'Egypte; car ils ne l'avaient point fait lever.وخبزوا العجين الذي اخرجوه من مصر خبز ملة فطيرا اذ كان لم يختمر. لانهم طردوا من مصر ولم يقدروا ان يتأخروا. فلم يصنعوا لانفسهم زاد

The time that the people of Israel lived in Egypt was 430 years.
→Or la demeure que les enfants d'Israël avaient faite en Egypte, était de quatre cent et trente ans. واما اقامة بني اسرائيل التي اقاموها في مصر فكانت اربع مئة وثلاثين سنة

At the end of 430 years, on that very day, all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
→Il arriva donc, au bout de quatre cent et trente ans, il arriva,[dis-je], en ce propre jour-là, que toutes les armées de l'Eternel sortirent du pays d'Egypte.وكان عند نهاية اربع مئة وثلاثين سنة في ذلك اليوم عينه ان جميع اجناد الرب خرجت من ارض مصر

It was a night of watching by the LORD, to bring them out of the land of Egypt; so this same night is a night of watching kept to the LORD by all the people of Israel throughout their generations.
→C'est la nuit qui doit être soigneusement observée à [l'honneur] de l'Eternel, parce qu'[alors] il les retira du pays d'Egypte; cette même nuit-là est à observer à [l'honneur] de l'Eternel, par tous les enfants d'Israël en leurs âges.هي ليلة تحفظ للرب لاخراجه اياهم من ارض مصر. هذه الليلة هي للرب. تحفظ من جميع بني اسرائيل في اجيالهم

And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the statute of the Passover: no foreigner shall eat of it,
→L'Eternel dit aussi à Moïse et à Aaron : c'est ici l'ordonnance de la Pâque : aucun étranger n'en mangera. وقال الرب لموسى وهرون هذه فريضة الفصح. كل ابن غريب لا يأكل منه

but every slave that is bought for money may eat of it afteryou have circumcised him.
→Mais tout esclave qu'on aura acheté par argent sera circoncis, [et] alors il en mangera.ولكن كل عبد رجل مبتاع بفضة تختنه ثم يأكل منه

No foreigner or hired worker may eat of it.
→النزيل والاجير لا ياكلان منه

It shall be eaten in one house; you shall not take any of the flesh outside the house, and you shall not break any of its bones.
→On la mangera dans une même maison, et vous n'emporterez point de sa chair hors de la maison, et vous n'en casserez point les os. في بيت واحد يؤكل. لا تخرج من اللحم من البيت الى خارج. وعظما لا تكسروا منه

All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
→ Toute l'assemblée d'Israël la fera. كل جماعة اسرائيل يصنعونه

If a stranger shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised. Then he may come near and keep it; he shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
→Et si quelque étranger qui habite chez toi, veut faire la Pâque à l'Eternel, que tout mâle qui lui appartient soit circoncis, et alors il s'approchera pour la faire, et il sera comme celui qui est né au pays; mais aucun incirconcis n'en mangera. واذا نزل عندك نزيل وصنع فصحا للرب فليختن منه كل ذكر ثم يتقدم ليصنعه. فيكون كمولود الارض. واما كل اغلف فلا ياكل منه

There shall be one law for the native and for the stranger who sojourns among you.”
→Il y aura une même loi pour celui qui est né au pays et pour l'étranger qui habite parmi vous.تكون شريعة واحدة لمولود الارض وللنزيل النازل بينكم

All the people of Israel did just as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron.
→Tous les enfants d'Israël firent ce que l'Eternel avait commandéà Moïse et à Aaron; ils le firent ainsi. ففعل جميع بني اسرائيل كما امر الرب موسى وهرون. هكذا فعلو

And on that very day the LORD brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.
→Il arriva donc en ce propre jour-là, que l'Eternel retira les enfants d'Israël du pays d'Egypte, selon leurs armées.وكان في ذلك اليوم عينه ان الرب اخرج بني اسرائيل من ارض مصر بحسب اجنادهم

The LORD said to Moses,
→وكلم الرب موسى قائل

“Consecrate to me all the firstborn. Whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast,is mine.”
→Sanctifie-moi tout premier-né, tout ce qui ouvre la matrice entre les enfants d'Israël, tant des hommes que des bêtes, [car il est] à moi.قدس لي كل بكر كل فاتح رحم من بني اسرائيل من الناس ومن البهائم. انه لي

Then Moses said to the people, “Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of slavery, for by a strong hand the LORD brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.
→Moïse donc dit au peuple : souvenez-vous de ce jour, auquel vous êtes sortis d'Egypte, de la maison de servitude ; car l'Eternel vous en a retirés par main forte; on ne mangera donc point de pain levé. وقال موسى للشعب اذكروا هذا اليوم الذي فيه خرجتم من مصر من بيت العبودية فانه بيد قوية اخرجكم الرب من هنا. ولا يؤكل خمير

Today, in the month of Abib, you are going out.
→Vous sortez aujourd'hui au mois que les épis mûrissent: اليوم انتم خارجون في شهر ابيب

And when the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you shall keep this service in this month.
→Quand donc l'Eternel t'aura introduit au pays des Chananéens, des Héthiens, des Amorrhéens, des Héviens et des Jébusiens, lequel il a juré à tes pères de te donner, et qui est un pays découlant de lait et de miel; alors tu feras ce service en ce mois-ci. ويكون متى ادخلك الرب ارض الكنعانيين والحثّيين والاموريين والحوّيين واليبوسيين التي حلف لآبائك ان يعطيك ارضا تفيض لبنا وعسلا انك تصنع هذه الخدمة في هذا الشهر

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the LORD.
→ Durant sept jours tu mangeras des pains sans levain, et au septième jour il y aura une fête solennelle à l'Eternel. سبعة ايام تأكل فطيرا وفي اليوم السابع عيد للرب

Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days; no leavened bread shall be seen with you, and no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory.
→On mangera durant sept jours des pains sans levain; et il ne sera point vu chez toi de pain levé; et même il ne sera point vu de levain en toutes tes contrées. فطيرا يؤكل السبعة الايام ولا يرى عندك مختمر ولا يرى عندك خمير في جميع تخومك

You shall tell your son on that day, ‘It is because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.’
→Et en ce jour-là tu feras entendre ces choses à tes enfants, en disant : c'est à cause de ce que l'Eternel m'a fait en me retirant d'Egypte. وتخبر ابنك في ذلك اليوم قائلا من اجل ما صنع اليّ الرب حين اخرجني من مصر

And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.
→Et ceci te sera pour signe sur ta main, et pour mémorial entre tes yeux, afin que la Loi de l'Eternel soit en ta bouche, parce que l'Eternel t'aura retiré d'Egypte par main forte.ويكون لك علامة على يدك وتذكارا بين عينيك لكي تكون شريعة الرب في فمك. لانه بيد قوية اخرجك الرب من مصر

You shall therefore keep this statute at its appointed time from year to year.
→Tu garderas donc cette ordonnance en sa saison, d'année en année.فتحفظ هذه الفريضة في وقتها من سنة الى سنة

“When the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and your fathers, and shall give it to you,
→Aussi quand l'Eternel t'aura introduit au pays des Chananéens, selon qu'il a juré à toi et à tes pères, et qu'il te l'aura donné. ويكون متى ادخلك الرب ارض الكنعانيين كما حلف لك ولآبائك واعطاك اياه

you shall set apart to the LORD all that first opens the womb. All the firstborn of your animals that are males shall be the LORD’s.
→Alors tu présenteras à l'Eternel tout ce qui ouvre la matrice; même tout ce qui en sortant ouvre la portière des bêtes; ce que tu auras de mâles sera à l'Eternel. انك تقدم للرب كل فاتح رحم وكل بكر من نتاج البهائم التي تكون لك. الذكور للرب

Every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. Every firstborn of man among your sons you shall redeem.
→Mais tu rachèteras avec un petit d'entre les brebis ou d'entre les chèvres, toute première portée des ânesses, et si tu ne le rachètes point, tu lui couperas le cou. Tu rachèteras aussi tout premier-né des hommes entre tes enfants. ولكن كل بكر حمار تفديه بشاة. وان لم تفده فتكسر عنقه. وكل بكر انسان من اولادك تفديه

And when in time to come your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ you shall say to him, ‘By a strong hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.
→Et quand ton fils t'interrogera à l'avenir, en disant : que veut dire ceci? Alors tu lui diras : l'Eternel nous a retirés par mainforte hors d'Egypte, de la maison de servitude. ويكون متى سألك ابنك غدا قائلا ما هذا تقول له بيد قوية اخرجنا الرب من مصر من بيت العبودية

For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the LORD killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of animals. Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all the males that first open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’
→Car il arriva que quand Pharaon s'opiniâtra à ne nous laisser point aller, l'Eternel tua tous les premiers-nés au pays d'Egypte, depuis les premiers-nés des hommes jusques aux premiers-nés des bêtes; c'est pourquoi je sacrifie à l'Eternel tout mâle qui ouvre la portière, et je rachète tout premier-né de mes enfants. وكان لما تقسى فرعون عن اطلاقنا ان الرب قتل كل بكر في ارض مصر من بكر الناس الى بكر البهائم. لذلك انا اذبح للرب الذكور من كل فاتح رحم وافدي كل بكر من اولادي

It shall be as a mark on your hand or frontlets between your eyes, for by a strong hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt.”
→ Ceci te sera donc pour signe sur ta main, et pour fronteaux entre tes yeux, que l'Eternel nous a retirés d'Egypte par main forte.فيكون علامة على يدك وعصابة بين عينيك. لانه بيد قوية اخرجنا الرب من مصر

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. For God said, “Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.”
→Or quand Pharaon eut laissé aller le peuple, Dieu ne les conduisit point par le chemin du pays des Philistins, quoi qu'il fût le plus court; car Dieu disait : c'est afin qu'il n'arrive que le peuple se repente quand il verra la guerre, et qu'il ne retourne en Egypte.وكان لما اطلق فرعون الشعب ان الله لم يهدهم في طريق ارض الفلسطينيين مع انها قريبة. لان الله قال لئلا يندم الشعب اذا رأوا حربا ويرجعوا الى مصر

Mais Dieu fit tournoyer le peuple par le chemin du désert, vers la mer rouge. Ainsi les enfants d'Israël montèrent en armes du pays d'Egypte.
→И обвел Бог народ дорогою пустынною к Чермному морю. И вышли сыны Израилевы вооруженные из земли Египетской. فادار الله الشعب في طريق برية بحر سوف. وصعد بنو اسرائيل متجهزين من ارض مصر

Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for Josepha had made the sons of Israel solemnly swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones with you from here.”
→Et Moïse avait pris avec soi les os de Joseph; parce que [Joseph] avait expressément fait jurer les enfants d'Israël, [en leur] disant : Dieu vous visitera très-certainement, vous transporterez donc avec vous mes os d'ici. واخذ موسى عظام يوسف معه. لانه كان قد استحلف بني اسرائيل بحلف قائلا ان الله سيفتقدكم فتصعدون عظامي من هنا معكم

And they moved on from Succoth and encamped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.
→Et ils partirent de Succoth, et se campèrent à Etham, qui est au bout du désert. وارتحلوا من سكوت ونزلوا في إيثام في طرف البرية

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.
→Et l'Eternel allait devant eux, de jour dans une colonne de nuée pour les conduire par le chemin; et de nuit dans une colonne de feu pour les éclairer, afin qu'ils marchassent jour et nuit. وكان الرب يسير امامهم نهارا في عمود سحاب ليهديهم في الطريق وليلا في عمود نار ليضيء لهم. لكي يمشوا نهارا وليل

The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.
→[Et] il ne retira point la colonne de nuée le jour, ni la colonne de feu la nuit, de devant le peuple.لم يبرح عمود السحاب نهارا وعمود النار ليلا من امام الشعب

Then the LORD said to Moses,
→Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant : وكلم الرب موسى قائل

“Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea.
→كلم بني اسرائيل ان يرجعوا وينزلوا امام فم الحيروث بين مجدل والبحر امام بعل صفون. مقابله تنزلون عند البحر

For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel, ‘They are wandering in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’
→ فيقول فرعون عن بني اسرائيل هم مرتبكون في الارض. قد استغلق عليهم القفر

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD.” And they did so.
→Et j'endurcirai le cœur de Pharaon, et il vous poursuivra; ainsi je serai glorifié en Pharaon, et en toute son armée, et les Egyptiens sauront que je suis l'Eternel; et ils firent ainsi.واشدّد قلب فرعون حتى يسعى وراءهم. فاتمجد بفرعون وبجميع جيشه. ويعرف المصريون اني انا الرب. ففعلوا هكذ

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, the mind of Pharaoh and his servants was changed toward the people, and they said, “What is this we have done,that we have let Israel go from serving us?”
→Or on avait rapporté au Roi d'Egypte que le peuple s'enfuyait, et le cœur de Pharaon et de ses serviteurs fut changé à l'égard du peuple, et ils dirent : qu'[est-ce que] nous avons fait, que nous ayons laissé aller Israël, en sorte qu'il ne nous servira plus? فلما أخبر ملك مصر ان الشعب قد هرب تغيّر قلب فرعون وعبيده على الشعب. فقالوا ماذا فعلنا حتى اطلقنا اسرائيل من خدمتن

So he made ready his chariot and took his army with him,
→ فشدّ مركبته واخذ قومه معه

and took six hundred chosen chariots and all the otherchariots of Egypt with officers over all of them.
→واخذ ست مئة مركبة منتخبة وسائر مركبات مصر وجنودا مركبيّة على جميعه

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt,and he pursued the people of Israel while the people of Israel were going out defiantly.
→Et l'Eternel endurcit le cœur de Pharaon Roi d'Egypte, qui poursuivit les enfants d'Israël. Or les enfants d'Israël étaient sortis à main levée. وشدّد الرب قلب فرعون ملك مصر حتى سعى وراء بني اسرائيل وبنو اسرائيل خارجون بيد رفيعة

The Egyptians pursued them, all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamped at the sea, by Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.
→Les Egyptiens donc les poursuivirent; et tous les chevaux des chariots de Pharaon, ses gens de cheval, et son armée les atteignirent comme ils étaient campés près de la mer, vers Pi-Hahiroth vis-à-vis de Bahal-Tséphon.فسعى المصريون وراءهم وادركوهم. جميع خيل مركبات فرعون وفرسانه وجيشه وهم نازلون عند البحر عند فم الحيروث امام بعل صفون

When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the LORD.
→ Et lorsque Pharaon se fut approché, les enfants d'Israël levèrent leurs yeux, et voici, les Egyptiens marchaient après eux, et les enfants d'Israël eurent une fort grande peur, et crièrent à l'Eternel. فلما اقترب فرعون رفع بنو اسرائيل عيونهم واذ المصريون راحلون وراءهم. ففزعوا جدا وصرخ بنو اسرائيل الى الرب

They said to Moses, “Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt?
→ Et dirent à Moïse : est-ce qu'il n'y avait pas de sépulcres en Egypte, que tu nous aies emmenés pour mourir au désert? Qu'est-ce que tu nous as fait de nous avoir fait sortir d'Egypte? وقالوا لموسى هل لانه ليست قبور في مصر اخذتنا لنموت في البرية. ماذا صنعت بنا حتى اخرجتنا من مصر

Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have beenbetter for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”
→N'est-ce pas ce que nous te disions en Egypte, disant : retire-toi de nous, et que nous servions les Egyptiens? Car il vaut mieux que nous les servions, que si nous mourions au désert.أليس هذا هو الكلام الذي كلمناك به في مصر قائلين كف عنا فنخدم المصريين. لانه خير لنا ان نخدم المصريين من ان نموت في البرية

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.
→Et Moïse dit au peuple : ne craignez point, arrêtez-vous, et voyez la délivrance de l'Eternel, laquelle il vous donnera aujourd'hui; car pour les Egyptiens que vous avez vus aujourd'hui, vous ne les verrez plus. فقال موسى للشعب لا تخافوا. قفوا وانظروا خلاص الرب الذي يصنعه لكم اليوم. فانه كما رأيتم المصريين اليوم لا تعودون ترونهم ايضا الى الابد

The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
→L'Eternel combattra pour vous, et vous demeurerez tranquilles.الرب يقاتل عنكم وانتم تصمتون

The LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.
→Or l'Eternel avait dit à Moïse : que cries-tu à moi? Parle aux enfants d'Israël, qu'ils marchent. فقال الرب لموسى مالك تصرخ اليّ. قل لبني اسرائيل ان يرحلو

Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground.
→Et toi, élève ta verge, et étends ta main sur la mer, et la fends, et que les enfants d'Israël entrent au milieu de la mer à sec. وارفع انت عصاك ومدّ يدك على البحر وشقّه. فيدخل بنو اسرائيل في وسط البحر على اليابسة

And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen.
→ Et quant à moi, voici, je m'en vais endurcir le cœur des Egyptiens, afin qu'ils entrent après eux; et je serai glorifié en Pharaon, et en toute son armée, en ses chariots et en ses gens de cheval. وها انا اشدد قلوب المصريين حتى يدخلوا وراءهم. فاتمجد بفرعون وكل جيشه بمركباته وفرسانه

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
→Et les Egyptiens sauront que je suis l'Eternel, quand j'aurai été glorifié en Pharaon, en ses chariots, et en ses gens de cheval.فيعرف المصريون اني انا الرب حين اتمجد بفرعون ومركباته وفرسانه

Then the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them,
→Et l'Ange de Dieu qui allait devant le camp d'Israël, partit, et s'en alla derrière eux; et la colonne de nuée partit de devant eux, et se tint derrière eux : فانتقل ملاك الله السائر امام عسكر اسرائيل وسار وراءهم. وانتقل عمود السحاب من امامهم ووقف وراءهم

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the LORD drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
→Or Moïse avait étendu sa main sur la mer ; et l'Eternel fit reculer la mer toute la nuit par un vent d'Orient fort véhément, et mit la mer à sec, et les eaux se fendirent. فدخل بين عسكر المصريين وعسكر اسرائيل وصار السحاب والظلام واضاء الليل فلم يقترب هذا الى ذاك كل الليل

And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
→Et les enfants d'Israël entrèrent au milieu de la mer au sec, et les eaux leur servaient de mur à droite et à gauche. ومدّ موسى يده على البحر. فأجرى الرب البحر بريح شرقية شديدة كل الليل وجعل البحر يابسة وانشقّ الماء

And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
→Et les enfants d'Israël entrèrent au milieu de la mer au sec, et les eaux leur servaient de mur à droite et à gauche. فدخل بنو اسرائيل في وسط البحر على اليابسة والماء سور لهم عن يمينهم وعن يسارهم

The Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
→ Et les Egyptiens les poursuivirent; et ils entrèrent après eux au milieu de la mer, [savoir] tous les chevaux de Pharaon, ses chariots, et ses gens de cheval. وتبعهم المصريون ودخلوا وراءهم. جميع خيل فرعون ومركباته وفرسانه الى وسط البحر

And in the morning watch the LORD in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the Egyptian forces into a panic,
→ Mais il arriva que sur la veille du matin, l'Eternel étant dans la colonne de feu et dans la nuée, regarda le camp des Egyptiens, et le mit en déroute. وكان في هزيع الصبح ان الرب اشرف على عسكر المصريين في عمود النار والسحاب وأزعج عسكر المصريين

clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from before Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.”
→Il ôta les roues de ses chariots, et fit qu'on les menait bien pesamment. Alors les Egyptiens dirent : fuyons de devant les Israélites, car l'Eternel combat pour eux contre les Egyptiens.وخلع بكر مركباتهم حتى ساقوها بثقلة. فقال المصريون نهرب من اسرائيل. لان الرب يقاتل المصريين عنهم

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.”
→Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse : étends ta main sur la mer, et les eaux retourneront sur les Egyptiens, sur leurs chariots, et sur leurs gens de cheval. فقال الرب لموسى مدّ يدك على البحر ليرجع الماء على المصريين على مركباتهم وفرسانهم

So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal course when the morning appeared. And as the Egyptians fled into it, the LORD threw the Egyptians into the midst of the sea.
→Moïse donc étendit sa main sur la mer, et la mer reprit son impétuosité comme le matin venait; et les Egyptiens s'enfuyant rencontrèrent la mer [qui s'était rejointe]; et ainsi l'Eternel jeta les Egyptiens au milieu de la mer. فمدّ موسى يده على البحر فرجع البحر عند اقبال الصبح الى حاله الدائمة والمصريون هاربون الى لقائه. فدفع الرب المصريين في وسط البحر

The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh that had followedthem into the sea, not one of them remained.
→Car les eaux retournèrent et couvrirent les chariots et les gens de cheval de toute l'armée de Pharaon, qui étaient entrés après les Israélites dans la mer, et il n'en resta pas un seul. فرجع الماء وغطى مركبات وفرسان جميع جيش فرعون الذي دخل ورائهم في البحر. لم يبق منهم ولا واحد

But the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
→Mais les enfants d'Israël marchèrent au milieu de la mer à sec; et les eaux leur servaient de mur à droite et à gauche.واما بنو اسرائيل فمشوا على اليابسة في وسط البحر والماء سور لهم عن يمينهم وعن يسارهم

Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
→ Ainsi l'Eternel délivra en ce jour-là Israël de la main des Egyptiens; et Israël vit sur le bord de la mer les Egyptiens morts. فخلّص الرب في ذلك اليوم اسرائيل من يد المصريين. ونظر اسرائيل المصريين امواتا على شاطئ البحر

Israel saw the great power that the LORD used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.
→Israël vit donc la grande puissance que l'Eternel avait déployée contre les Egyptiens; et le peuple craignit l'Eternel, et ils crurent en l'Eternel, et à Moïse son serviteur.ورأى اسرائيل الفعل العظيم الذي صنعه الرب بالمصريين. فخاف الشعب الرب وآمنوا بالرب وبعبده موسى

Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying, “I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his ridera he has thrown into the sea.
→ Alors Moïse, et les enfants d'Israël chantèrent ce cantique à l'Eternel, et dirent : je chanterai à l'Eternel, car il s'est hautement élevé; il a jeté dans la mer le cheval et celui qui le monte.حينئذ رنم موسى وبنو اسرائيل هذه التسبيحة للرب وقالوا. ارنم للرب فانه قد تعظم الفرس وراكبه طرحهما في البحر

The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
→ الرب قوّتي ونشيدي. وقد صار خلاصي. هذا الهي فامجّده. اله ابي فارفعه

The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name.
→ L'Eternel est un vaillant guerrier, son nom est l'Eternel.الرب رجل الحرب. الرب اسمه

“Pharaoh’s chariots and his host he cast into the sea, and hischosen officers were sunk in the Red Sea.
→Il a jeté dans la mer les chariots de Pharaon, et son armée; l'élite de ses Capitaines a été submergée dans la mer rouge.مركبات فرعون وجيشه القاهما في البحر. فغرق افضل جنوده المركبيّة في بحر سوف

The floods covered them; they went down into the depths like a stone.
→تغطيهم اللجج. قد هبطوا في الاعماق كحجر

Your right hand, O LORD, glorious in power, your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy.
→Ta dextre, ô Eternel! s'est montrée magnifique en force; ta dextre, ô Eternel! a froissé l'ennemi.يمينك يا رب معتزّة بالقدرة. يمينك يا رب تحطم العدو

In the greatness of your majesty you overthrow your adversaries;you send out your fury; it consumes them like stubble.
→Tu as ruiné par la grandeur de ta Majesté ceux qui s'élevaient contre toi; tu as lâché ta colère, et elle les a consumés comme du chaume.وبكثرة عظمتك تهدم مقاوميك. ترسل سخطك فياكلهم كالقش

At the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up; the floods stood up in a heap; the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.
→Par le souffle de tes narines les eaux ont été amoncelées; les eaux courantes se sont arrêtées comme un monceau; les gouffres ont été gelés au milieu de la mer.وبريح انفك تراكمت المياه. انتصبت المجاري كرابية. تجمّدت اللجج في قلب البحر

The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil, my desire shall have its fill of them. I will draw my sword; my hand shall destroy them.’
→L'ennemi disait : je poursuivrai, j'atteindrai, je partagerai le butin, mon âme sera assouvie d'eux, je dégainerai mon épée, ma main les détruira.قال العدو اتبع ادرك اقسم غنيمة. تمتلئ منهم نفسي. اجردّ سيفي. تفنيهم يدي

You blew with your wind; the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.
→Tu as soufflé de ton vent, la mer les a couverts; ils ont été enfoncés comme du plomb dans les eaux magnifiques.نفخت بريحك فغطاهم البحر. غاصوا كالرصاص في مياه غامرة

“Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you,majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?
→Qui est comme toi entre les Forts, ô Eternel! Qui est comme toi, magnifique en sainteté, digne d'être révéré et célébré, faisant des choses merveilleuses?من مثلك بين الآلهة يا رب. من مثلك معتزّا في القداسة. مخوفا بالتسابيح. صانعا عجائب

You stretched out your right hand; the earth swallowed them.
→ Tu as étendu ta dextre, la terre les a engloutis.تمد يمينك فتبتلعهم الارض

“You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed; you have guided them by your strength to your holyabode.
→ Tu as conduit par ta miséricorde ce peuple que tu as racheté; tu l'as conduit par ta force à la demeure de ta sainteté.ترشد برأفتك الشعب الذي فديته تهديه بقوتك الى مسكن قدسك

Les peuples l'ont entendu, et ils en ont tremblé; la douleur a saisi les habitants de la Palestine.
→The peoples have heard; they tremble; pangs have seizedthe inhabitants of Philistia.يسمع الشعوب فيرتعدون. تاخذ الرعدة سكان فلسطين

Now are the chiefs of Edom dismayed; trembling seizes the leaders of Moab; all the inhabitants of Canaan have meltedaway.
→ Alors les Princes d'Edom seront troublés, et le tremblement saisira les forts de Moab, tous les habitants de Chanaan se fondront.حينئذ يندهش امراء ادوم. اقوياء موآب تأخذهم الرجفة. يذوب جميع سكان كنعان

Terror and dread fall upon them; because of the greatness of your arm, they are still as a stone, till your people, O LORD, pass by, till the people pass by whom you have purchased.
→La frayeur et l'épouvante tomberont sur eux; ils seront rendus stupides comme une pierre, par la grandeur de ton bras, jusqu'à ce que ton peuple, ô Eternel! soit passé; jusqu'à ce que ce peuple que tu as acquis, soit passé.تقع عليهم الهيبة والرّعب. بعظمة ذراعك يصمتون كالحجر. حتى يعبر شعبك يا رب حتى يعبر الشعب الذي اقتنيته

You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain,the place, O LORD, which you have made for your abode,the sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have established.
→Tu les introduiras et les planteras sur la montagne de ton héritage, au lieu [que] tu as préparé pour ta demeure ô Eternel! au Sanctuaire, ô Seigneur! que tes mains ont établi.تجيء بهم وتغرسهم في جبل ميراثك المكان الذي صنعته يا رب لسكنك. المقدس الذي هيّأته يداك يا رب

The LORD will reign forever and ever.”
→L'Eternel régnera à jamais et à perpétuité.الرب يملك الى الدهر والابد

For when the horses of Pharaoh with his chariots and his horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them, but the people of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea.
→فان خيل فرعون دخلت بمركباته وفرسانه الى البحر. وردّ الرب عليهم ماء البحر. واما بنو اسرائيل فمشوا على اليابسة في وسط البحر

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out afterher with tambourines and dancing.
→Et Marie la Prophétesse, sœur d'Aaron, prit un tambour en sa main, et toutes les femmes sortirent après elle, avec des tambours et des flûtes.فاخذت مريم النبية اخت هرون الدف بيدها. وخرجت جميع النساء وراءها بدفوف ورقص

And Miriam sang to them: “Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”
→Et Marie leur répondait : chantez à l'Eternel, car il s'est hautement élevé; il a jeté dans la mer le cheval et celui qui le montait.واجابتهم مريم رنموا للرب فانه قد تعظم. الفرس وراكبه طرحهما في البحر

Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
→Après cela Moïse fit partir les Israélites de la mer rouge, et ils tirèrent vers le désert de Sur, et ayant marché trois jours par le désert, ils ne trouvaient point d'eau.ثم ارتحل موسى باسرائيل من بحر سوف وخرجوا الى برية شور. فساروا ثلاثة ايام في البرية ولم يجدوا ماء

When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah.
→ De là ils vinrent à Mara, mais ils ne pouvaient point boire des eaux de Mara, parce qu'elles étaient amères; c'est pourquoi ce lieu fut appelé Mara. فجاءوا الى مارّة. ولم يقدروا ان يشربوا ماء من مارّة لانه مرّ. لذلك دعي اسمها مارّة

And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
→فتذمر الشعب على موسى قائلين ماذا نشرب

And he cried to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a log,and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.There the LORD made for them a statute and a rule, and therehe tested them,
→Et [Moïse] cria à l'Eternel; et l'Eternel lui enseigna un certain bois, qu'il jeta dans les eaux; et les eaux devinrent douces. Il lui proposa là une ordonnance et une loi, et il l'éprouva là; فصرخ الى الرب. فاراه الرب شجرة فطرحها في الماء فصار الماء عذبا. هناك وضع له فريضة وحكما وهناك امتحنه

saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.”
→ فقال ان كنت تسمع لصوت الرب الهك وتصنع الحق في عينيه وتصغي الى وصاياه وتحفظ جميع فرائضه فمرضا ما مما وضعته على المصريين لا اضع عليك. فاني انا الرب شافيك

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.
→Puis ils vinrent à Elim, où il y avait douze fontaines d'eau, et soixante et dix palmes; et ils se campèrent là auprès des eaux.ثم جاءوا الى ايليم وهناك اثنتا عشرة عين ماء وسبعون نخلة. فنزلوا هناك عند الماء

They set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the people of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is betweenElim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had departed from the land of Egypt.
→Et toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël étant partie d'Elim vint au désert de Sin, qui [est] entre Elim et Sinaï, le quinzième jour du second mois après qu'ils furent sortis du pays d'Egypte. ثم ارتحلوا من ايليم واتى كل جماعة بني اسرائيل الى برية سين التي بين ايليم وسيناء في اليوم الخامس عشر من الشهر الثاني بعد خروجهم من ارض مصر

And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness,
→Et toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël murmura dans ce désert contre Moïse et Aaron. فتذمر كل جماعة بني اسرائيل على موسى وهرون في البرية

and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
→Et les enfants d'Israël leur dirent : ha! que ne sommes-nous morts par la main de l'Eternel au pays d'Egypte, quand nous étions assis près des potées de chair, et que nous mangions notre soûl de pain; car vous nous avez amenés dans ce désert, pour faire mourir de faim toute cette assemblée.وقال لهما بنو اسرائيل ليتنا متنا بيد الرب في ارض مصر اذ كنا جالسين عند قدور اللحم نأكل خبزا للشبع. فانكما اخرجتمانا الى هذا القفر لكي تميتا كل هذا الجمهور بالجوع
